This is not my favourite place to shop for magazines. It's a very small and bright yellow space, marks off right there for being jostly and headache-inducing. They do stock a wide variety of titles, but they're so crammed together on the shelves it's hard to browse. Plus, the setup of the store means that the owner/cashier is directly behind me as I'm looking, and I find it very uncomfortable to have someone's eyes burning into my back as I'm trying to shop. If I open a magazine to look through, I do so half-cringing, waiting at any moment for a voice (Apu? Is that you?) to cry out "Hey! This is not a lending library!"
That's never actually happen, but still. On the plus side, some of you might like that they stock a lot of Vancouver pictorial books and maps, as well as several international newspapers. For me, I'll only go here if I need some trashy gossip rags for the SeaBus; it's not my serious new magazine discovery port of call.
