Review from Mark S.
This CHOICE HOTEL property continues to be a GREAT budget hotel, over in the Spokane Medical Center area.
After 5-6 stays at this Quality Inn, we've found our room to always be simple and clean, the bed comfortable, everything works and looks good, check my photos.
Some noise from the freeway out front. If you are sensitive to noise, ask for a room on the back side of the hotel.
The staff is friendly and helpful, plenty of free parking, coffee and tea always available down in the lobby, in-room coffee machine, WiFi, microwave and refrigerator. Our window opens! What more do you want?
Great walking uphill towards the Medical Center and surrounding neighborhoods. A little creepy if you walk under the freeway along Division towards downtown, especially once dark.
On a recent visit, November/2011, my room with a king size bed, with AAA discount was, $ 78.72, total price.
The breakfast buffet was ok but crowded on a Saturday morning. Even a long line, for the waffle maker! I'd advise you to grab what you want and take it back to your peaceful room, mannnnn!
Be sure to check the vending machines, at the end of each floor, for some cool, non-usual choices, you get to choose from different treats on each floor!
If you see Amber, at the front desk, you know you're gonna be getting excellent assistance. Amber is on it, very friendly and helpful!
One other tip from traveler to traveler, be aware that the Spokane area is a hot spot for speed traps and heavy traffic enforcement. It appears to be an important source of revenue, so be very careful as you drive in Spokane! Stick to the speed limit, which is probably unusually low, and stay in your lane. You ARE being watched! -

Hotel itself was just okay, but the staff is wonderful! It's a good place to stay for a night or two if you aren't looking to spend big dollars. Room was clean, and the bed was surprising comfortable for a budget hotel. My main complaint was with bathroom. The shower was way too low for me (I'm almost 6' 2" so the water was hitting me in the middle of the chest even with the nozzle pointed as high as possible.) Also, there wasn't any fan or ventilation in the bathroom so even after a brief shower, the mirror was totally steamed over.
Rooms here can be had on the cheap, and the list of pros, way out weighs the cons. Staff is great, free breakfast is plentiful, and the rooms are pretty quiet. If you're a budget conscious traveler, this could be the spot for you. -

There really isn't anything to complain about here. I'm giving it 5 stars not because it's the most amazing best hotel I've ever stayed in, but definitely the best low budget hotel/motel. Desk clerk was very helpful and effiecient. He even called after we got to our room to make sure everythign was okay. The rooms are average, but everything works including the thermostat, flat screen TV, free wi-fi and hot and cold water. The best part of this place for me was the cozy little bar connected. They had karaoake and we got to sing several songs. They also stayed open all night until 2am on a weekday. Very cool.

It may only be a 2 star hotel, but it gets 5 from me. I've stayed here twice, and must say that for the price, this has been the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Fancy no, but the rooms are clean, include a fridge and microwave, have a TV with more than 13 channels, and free WiFi internet with no annoying registration to go through. If that wasn't enough, the free breakfast the next morning is actually pretty good, and starts at 6 AM.
The only downside is with the proximity to I-90 it won't be whisper quiet, but that's compensated by offering a 2 minute drive in to downtown. There's plenty of parking, and free coffee 24/7. If only there were places like this available in every city. -

Driving through Spokane my husband and I were in the need to stop and call it a night. The reason we chose Quality Inn was because of the free wi-fi and the price.
Pros:
-free wi-fi
-price is reasonable
-desk clerk is really helpful and nice
-there are many amenities: washer/dryer, business office, pool, in house restaurant, bar
Cons:
-bed is too springy (but I may be spoiled from our Tempur-pedic bed)
-the wi-fi shuts down for an hour from 11:30pm - 12:30am. However, it was down longer than 1 hour when we were there and I had to call tech support. After about 5-10 mins on the phone the issue was resolved.
Would stay here again if passing through. Overall, a good experience. -

I stayed in this hotel in 2005, back when it was the Economy Inn, because it was the cheapest hotel close to Deaconess. It cost $29.99 a night. My employer at the time had sent me there to do some work at Deaconess and they, of course, made the lodging arrangements.
It was horribly depressing. This is a moderately aged building, maybe forties or fifties architecture, I don't really know, but you could tell at the time that it had been a much more grand hotel when it was constructed. They had this massive kitchen, completely decked out with commercial kitchen gear -- you could see everything through the windows into the seating area -- and the only thing they used it for was to cook the eggs for the continental breakfast.
The next time I spent any time in Spokane, I noticed that it had switched to Quality Inn, and I went in and inquired with the girl at the front desk. She let me see a room, even though I didn't need one and I looked around the lobby and cafe area. I was very impressed and decided that if I needed to stay in Spokane in the future, I'd try this place again.
I'm here now with a trade show. I'm pretty happy with the hotel. The rooms are nice, the beds are nice and about as comfortable as a hotel bed can be this far away in price from the Hotel Sorrento. (As a rule, I'm unhappy with most all hotel beds.) There is a wi-fi connection page, but if the hotel's wi-fi acts up, it is always possible to hit the wifi from downtown Spokane wifi zone. That's easier to do if your room faces the freeway. I don't recommend getting a room facing the freeway, if you can avoid it. I haven't eaten in the hotel restaurant -- they've made a use for that massive kitchen -- but I fully intend do. It's still a dated property, but it really is rather nice for the $71.99 I'm spending a night, pre-tax.
