DELICIOUS. Loved this place. Incredibly fresh fruit toppings (nothing sitting in gross syrup. I tried the green tea yogurt with blueberries, and mochi (my first mochi experience - tasted like a little marshmallow) one night and raspberry-pomegranate with blueberries, kiwi and moshi the next night. I wish they had Qoola closer to where I live!!!
Frozen Yogurt is the new trend.
This place is pretty solid as a Frozen Yogurt chain.
Lots of toppings, lots of yogurt flavors and lots of other goodies like pancakes?
The fruits are fresh and the toppings are wide in variety. THey had everything from Pistachios to Captain Crunch.
Great for a nice summer day by the beach!
Qoola has jumped on the frozen yogurt fame of Pink Berry and Red Mango in USA. Everyone is trying to watch there waist line and here you can do it very easily. I have tried every flavor or yogurt, green tea, original, raspberry, strawberry. My topping faves changes from mochi and raspberry sauce to a Smores variation, to just plane fruit.
The also serve up Brazilian style Acai, Belgium style Waffles.
All packaging is compostable as well. Talk about guilt free everything!
Because it's World Cup season, there were frozen yogurt desserts named after different countries such as Team Canada (of course), Team Italy and Team Japan. I chose Team China because it was made with thick, smooth and tart raspberry-pomegranate yogurt, pineapple chunks, mango and mango sauce. It was pretty good!
I sampled their original tart and green tea. They were good, tasted like basically any other original tart or green tea I've ever tasted.
It's not a self serve shop but prices were average, service was friendly and they offered a lot more than frozen yogurt. There is also free wifi and if you have US dollars, you can use that too (that's what I ended up doing).

Okay, Qoola doesn't sell the forbidden objects, but they do sell some of the best Frogurt, or "froyo" as some of you refer to it as, in Vancouver.
You can't really go wrong with a small original and your choice of two toppings for $5, my personal favourite: blueberries & strawberries.
Healthy and delicious, Qoola is a great alternative to all the gelato, cupcake, and cookie shops on Denman.
Yogurt is so-so, not as flavorful or substantial as Yogen Früz. Had their crepe once. Quite liked it but they NEVER made it ever since. So consider yourself lucky if you manage to order one. Service, hmmm, just what you should expect from teenager workers with minimal training.
I tried this place out. Honestly, it's too creamy for me and the fruit toppings were just okay.
Meh.
I really miss the froyo places that are self serve, tart and refreshing like Yogurtland and Menchies.
Sorry Qoola.
Hi, my name is Amy and I'm a Qoola addict. There, I've said it! Well at 90 calories for some yummy frozen yogurt heaven, who wouldn't be?
What makes Qoola different from the various frozen yogurt shops popping up around town? Their fresh yogurt contains no powder and contains over 300 million cultures per gram of live and active cultures. In other words, there is tons of "good bacteria" that have many health benefits, from boosting the immune system to helping people overcome lactose intolerance.
Proudly Canadian, the brand is fun, modern and lively. Not to mention green friendly - every cup, utensil and napkin is biodegradable. They serve green tea, original and chocolate flavors with a new feature flavor for each month - you can top your yogurt creation with fruit that is cut on premise daily and of course, my favorite, mochi balls! Check it out.
A little pricey (for a large & 3 toppings), but totally worth it. I visited at about 9:30pm on a Saturday night and there was no line, but there were people in the shop. I had original frozen yogurt with strawberries, raspberries, and mochi. Delicious.
OMG this place is unbelievable!
It was a totally random find the other night - a friend and I were wandering down Denman and felt the need for a late night snack, happened to be beside Qoola so figured we'd give it a try. Great choice!
We had never been before, and the girl working the counter spent about 15 minutes explaining all the different toppings, giving us tons of samples of different stuff, and basically just being really friendly. We ended up ording medium cups of yogurt with a few different toppings, and wow. I'll be back often.
Personally, I really recommend the original with raspberries, almonds, and marlonberry (sp?) syrup, but my friend got green tea with... a bunch of fruit I can't remember and she said it was amazing.
Plus I'm a HUGE fan of the fact that everything is biodegradable/compostable/etc - great plus to this place!
Saying "live cultures" will get you 15% off...unless you're already ordering a special - but then, you're already getting a deal!
Mango was on the menu last night, and dang, it was tarty and de-lish. So much in fact, that I could've-shoud've-would've ordered a larger size! Or gone back for seconds! I wonder if they give out refills? With raspberries and blackberries, I was in more-healthy-for-you-than-gelato-heaven!
Oh, and make sure you ask for a taster too - you get to eat it like a jello shot!

After seeing the line-up at Marble Slab Creamery moving slower than a tired snail...I decided to try out Qoola Frozen Yogurt... and the good thing...nobody was gonna beat my ice cream with a hammer! No gummy bears or Oreos would be killed in the process!!
I had Frozen Yogurt (Orange Creamsicle) with FRESH raspberries and strawberries for $5 including tax. It was refreshing and a not Super Sweet - which was nice.
The store appearance was clean and FRESH, staff were friendly (and quick) and they use all Biodegradable Spoons, Napkins, Cups, etc.
Give it a shot! I thought it was good!
Dear Qoola,
It doesn't matter if you're not the original (Red Mango) or the first successful (Pink Berry). You're providing a healthier option of REAL (not powdered) frozen yogurt and fresh fruit toppings. Gelato and ice cream need not apply here.
More importantly, you bring with you my all-time favourite little pieces of mochi topping!
When I left LA I thought I would never experience an authentic live culture delight any longer. But here you are with that familiar setup of bright interior, colourful pastel accents, and glass-encased topping station.
Yes, you are more expensive but you go one step further by offering freshly cut fruits, organic waffles and signature crepes from scratch. Like a true Canadian company, you are environmentally conscious and you support Canadian producers and vendors.
Because of these reasons, I promise to support your company and for as long as you support the call of my tummy.
As your website states, "Hello Vancouver. We're so happy to be here!"
So am I!

What is the perfect way to end an afternoon/night of browsing through Robson, dinner downtown, a stroll by the beach? QOOLA!!
I first saw/knew of this place when I saw the new Qoola store in Aberdeen Mall but I was always too busy or full (dimsum from Fisherman's Terrance!) to try it...and yesterday, the opportunity finally came.
For $5, you can order a small sized frozen yogurt with two toppings. The toppings range from syrups (chocolate, caramel...) to nuts to fruits to cookies and even mochi?! They have different flavors of frozen yogurt as well- chocolate, original and greentea. I ordered a chocolate and greentea (you can mix two yogurt flavors, apparently) with mango fruit pieces and it was DELISH! It was refreshing and a great alternative as a dessert. The green tea flavor was not as strong as I had hoped for but the chocolate was definitely to die for! It did not even taste like yogurt at all- it tasted like ice cream! I also liked how customers are able to choose how healthy or decadent they want their dessert to be- fruits for the healthnut or cookies and chocolate chips for the sweet tooth! And for the calorie conscious- a small sized yogurt is only 140 calories....!
The store is not too big but there are a couple of tables inside and outside! The decor is clean, bright and inviting.
...and Qoola cares about the environment which is an added bonus! i love how they sort their trash (biodegradable vs. recyclable)
I will definitely be coming back!
Updated: I sampled the yogurt yesterday. It was delicious! The original flavour actually tastes like yogurt, and not nasty overly sweet or powdery soft serve. The fresh raspberries and blueberries were the perfect compliment.
They run a special from 11 to 7 of $5 for a small with 2 toppings tax included....
Oh, and apparently from their website if you say, "livecultures" you get an additional 15% off. (It worked yesterday!)
I'll definitely be returning!

Excited that there is a "healthy" dessert option being added to diabetic alley.

I was visiting Vancouver and the warm weather had me craving some froyo. Back in the bay area I knew where to go but I was surprised at the lack of froyo offerings while playing tourist in Vancouver. This was one of the few places I came across.
Luckily, Qoola has some decent frozen yogurt. Of course I had to try their original flavor as this was my first time. I found it slightly creamier and a tad bit sweeter than I was used to but still quite good. I think it could give Red Mango (my fave back home) a run for it's money. I also had mochi and the texture was slightly off. But, overall, it was a great experience and it's within steps of English Bay beach.
I almost walked right by this place, but I glanced inside, liked what I saw, and went in. I ordered a small serving of the green tea flavour with mochi on top. They accept major credit cards, which is convenient for me. I was impressed by the serving size; it wasn't huge, but more than I'm used to for a small. The green tea frozen yoghurt tasted great: not too sweet, not too tart, with a fairly strong matcha flavour. The mochi topping was good but unremarkable. Other flavors of yoghurt include chocolate and plain (I probably missed a couple).
The space is pretty small, typical for businesses in this area, but the area is put to good use. There are several small glass-topped tables (sightly cracked, but clean) with bright white chairs and a comfy padded bench seat along one wall. There are also a few stools facing the window.
I would definitely come here again.
Mmmmmm this place was soooo yummy! And yes the fro yo DOES taste like yo(gurt)! They do have all the things mentioned in the other reviews, so I won't expand there.
I went for the chocolate froyo with cinnamon flakes and oreo and it was delicious! I wish I had known or remembered the "livecultures" things. But oh well, I got the $5 deal. Maybe i'll have an opportunity to return one day.
Nothing more I can say that hasn't been said previously by Marc, Sunny, or Rachael, so I'll leave you here.

This full service shop has expanded the realm of frozen yogurt into my morning routine with Herbal teas, free-trade coffee, organic whole grain waffles, crepes and yogurt bowls.
Choose from Regular, Green Tea, Chocolate or the yogurt of the month, then pick from their buffet of fruits, nuts and cereals; or if you're in a rush, get it all blended into a smoothie. For the ultimate 'fro-gurt' breakfast, go for the Qool-Açaí Energy Bowl, a tangy blend of açaí and soymilk, sweetened with guarana and topped with sliced bananas and granola. Breakfast has never tasted so good!
If you are just looking for something yummy and sweet, you must try "The W"...green tea frogurt with fruit!
I was already stuffed from a very heavy dinner when my friends insisted that we hit up Qoola, but I had no regrets after finishing a cup all to myself. I tried the regular yogurt topped with granola and orange. Delicious! My friends really enjoyed the mochi and coconut flake toppings.
The staff were friendly and gave us a handful of carob chips to try when we asked what they were - they're chocolate chip-like, but less sweet toppings made from carob trees. 89 cents for each topping is kind of steep though, especially when you're just feeling like a drizzle of honey.
I did however love the sorting of waste into trash and biodegradable products (including cups, spoons, and most other essentials of the Qoola experience).
YUM YUM YUM is all I have to say.....perfect and delicious and healthy and the girls that work there are lovley and informative and told me how many grams were in the yogurt without me even asking. I hope they have stamp cards, as I will be frequenting this spot on a regular! Oh, I got a chocolate/original swirl.....and i should have ordered a large!
I was already on Denman street and having read heard about this place (not only from Yelp).. I really wanted to find it.. plus I was hungry!
I walked in and the ladies at the counter were extremely friendly. They told me about their business and how it was healthy and nutritious. You can sample their different toppings. I had to try MOCHI, not knowing what it was: it's a rice flower pancake, kind of jelly like.
They have the four following options for yogourt: vanilla, chocolate, green tea (I was convinced!), and raspberry. I got the $5 special with blueberry and mango toppings. When I was paying, I mentioned live cultures and lady at the counter wasn't sure whether the discount applied to the daily special, but she gave it to me anyway.
While I was eating, one of them came over and asked if I needed a glass of water and how everything was; what service :)
I want to go back tomorrow.
Qoola 0n Denman
A busy new yogurt place. Choose from the basic yogurt from the basic yogurt flavours like vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. or try the green tea. It's $4.85 for a small and for each topping .89 cents on top of that.
I say, extremely overpriced for what is they offer. However, from 11-7 they have a $5 special. A small yogurt with 2 toppings. Your best bet considering the times we lie in in nowadays.
It's a clean and modern establishment staffed with some very helpful and pleasant employees.
It is worth a try just to compare it to others you may have tried.

Qoola has a great name and is a delicious, well presented and creative frozen yogurt dessert. I had the pleasure of sampling a custom-made yogurt dish at Modern Mix Vancouver's one-year anniversary party and I got to meet one of the owners, Aaron.
The owners stand by the strength of the brand and enjoy benefiting charitable organizations as a form of marketing their brand. They are also on Facebook and Twitter and tailor their products according to what the customers want. With a great downtown location by English Bay, Qoola is sure to take over the cool dessert realm by summertime. The upcoming Richmond location will be a great addition too.
Not bad but a bit icier than Pink Berry. I have no idea if they are using real yogurt of if it's a mix like some other yelpers have said. I don't and don't care but it wasn't good enough for me to go back for.
The highlight of the evening...finding a cool frozen yogurt place in Vancouver. The staff is very friendly and even offered the patrons water. The price is slightly pricey but everything else made up for it. Definitely will come back (maybe once a week or more). Or maybe I can convince them to open a branch in Richmond?

I'm a huge Pinkberry/Tutti Frutti fan down in the states, so I guess it's natural that the same concept is migrating up to Canada. Qoola is alright, trying to branch out and be innovative with the whole healthy concept. I like it, but it's little pricey. I think I paid close to $7 for something with a topping sprinkled on. So unless I was made of money, I wouldn't come regularly!
Love this place. On the pricey side but it was good. Ordered The W which has green tea Qoola with blueberries, mochi balls and drizzled with marionberry syrup. Been to a lot of froyo places and this is one of my favorite. The best thing I like about this place is that they are doing their part in being an eco business. All ingredients are fresh never frozen and when finished, you'll find different bins to separate your trash.
