HUGE fan of Purr.
In addition to LOVING the fact that it's independantly owned, Purr also carries some of my favourite brands (BB Dakota, Jack, Kersh).
Great selection of sweet and unique dresses that you won't necessarily be seeing again on every girl you pass on the streets. Reasonable prices (for this sort of thing - under $100) and always great sales. Cute sweaters and skirts are also not sparse.
Accessories, jewelry, bags, shoes are available but not the main focus.
Considering some of my favourite breaky places are across the street and next door (Cafe Barney, Ouisi Bistro), this area bodes serious trouble for my wallet but not for my waredrobe! -

Any girl who has the willpower to walk past Purr's 50% off signs is a strong woman in my estimation. Because for me, I'm drawn to Purr like a moth to a flame burning with desire... that's the way love goes afterall :p
With affordable, trendy brands like Kersh and BK Dakota (thanks Pennylane C for reminding me) this spot makes shopping on S. Granville worth it. It's clean, colour coded and there's a whole sale section up the ramp across from the fitting rooms -- trust me, you'll want to open up your arms wide to load in some funky knit sweaters and just a little off the beaten cuff tanks and such. PS. There's also a pretty decent looking selection of jeans, but I'm not ready to go there yet. Like with true love, trips to purr get sweeter with every visit. -

One theory of why cats purr is to display contentment or pleasure. If humans could purr, this is what I would begin to do as I walk in the door of this store.
I first fell in love with this store in Calgary. Almost everywhere I've lived this store has opened up. If there was going to be a store that was going to follow me around, I would happily pick this one. Purr, please do continue to stalk me.
They usually have an interesting pick of clothing items - just as other reviews have said, with a thankfully wider range of price points. Whenever I am in the mood to find an interesting piece or something just slightly outside of ordinary, I head here. I have found a many great jacket here (or, they find me perhaps), and this is a great place to scout out your next beloved "going out top". As a self-proclaimed bargain hunter, I love some of the finds I have found in this store. Check out the very back room by the dressing rooms to find lots of clearance/sale items.
Another theory about why cats purr is to attract further attention..but I'll already be wearing my new item from Purr so no human purring needed. -

It's Purrr-fect! (hahaha... i couldn't resist that pun!)
I love this shop - it's trendy (but not overly), it's reasonable (so you can buy large quantities), and the staff is friendly (but not over-bearing). These are all vital attributes that a good store should have! Plus the selection is pretty awesome... did I mention that besides cute clothing, they have accessories like jewelry, bags, scarves, and hats as well? Well, they do - and it's fantastic! -

This shop was a very pleasant surprise. Thinking that the prices would be through the roof, as are most store prices on South Granville Street, Purr actually had some great bargains. We're talking in the $60 odd range for very cute tops. Also up for grabs were some trendy jackets that were fairly priced and at the back of the store I was thrilled to find some super funky shoes: ALL FOR ONLY $30 A PAIR!
Purr also sells accessories such as handbags and cute scarves. I'll definitely come back to this boutique to shop up a storm very, very soon. -

Randomly walked into Purr for the first time yesterday. Like Tara T. I was also surprised by this store. Great price points, especially for South Granville! I spotted lots of stuff from Kersh, some BB Dakota, Lovely Girl, Vero Moda. Really cute dresses and tops. Pretty earrings. Cool sunnies. They had Kersh jeans on sale for $49! I had to run off to a meeting, so didn't get to fully shop the store, but will definitely be back. It's a nice contrast when you see dresses for $800 a few stores down.

It's so nice to get away from Robson to do some shopping. I love this store and was surprised at how big it is. They carry quite a few brands I like...that are reasonably priced. And have some fun jewelry too. Boutique stores like this are refreshing to come by in this city.

As a native Calgarian, I adored Purr Clothing. Little did I know that there was a Purr here in Vancouver, until I took a stroll over the Granville Street bridge last weekend. Hurrah! I truly believe this is how any good shop should operate, offering lovely, cute, sexy and loungy clothing and off-beat, chic accessories in low budget and high budget options. The interior design of the store is akin to your favourite living space...or your dream closet!
