Pure Essence is remarkably clean and relaxing. The ladies are quiet, yes but very efficient and friendly with no unnecessary small talk which I prefer.
I got gel nails with gel polish. I've had no experience with this procedure so I can't vouch for the technique used here but I can say that Annie, who did my nails, was gentle and did a great job.
I am happy and will be back. -

I bought the Wonton as I wanted some nice gel nails to go with my new fun haircut and I just got back from holidays so saving $40 was sounding good. I don't go for length - just over the tip of the fingernail and uniform so they dont break.
I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment and was not greeted by either woman doing a pedi or the one lone girl filing down some acrylic nails that was sitting right in front of me. There was a tv but unfortunately it was off and there was no music playing so it had a pretty awkward vibe to it. When it was my turn the woman to do my nails still didn't speak to me and just motioned with her hand to where I was to sit. We sat in silence until she pulled out a tray of those off-the-shelf looking massive, scary plastic nails. After checking my voucher and confirming to me these *were* gel nails she continued. I've had gel nails before and the process didn't involve having these HUGE things glued to my nails, then cut, then shaped, then ground down, and then have gel placed over top.
The finished product looks nice but it's not what I was expecting and I thought the wording was fairly deceptive.Comment from stella z. of Pure Essence Nail & Esthetics 2/22/2012

I recently had a manicure/pedicure combo at Pure Essence and was definitely pleased with the service. Stella was attentive and friendly. The salon was clean and inviting with a comfortable massage chair and large TV to watch.
