Review from Vega X.

This is a tough review to write, because I don't think I'm going to be able to be entirely objective. Why? Because I was starving when I went here, and I think any food tastes better when I'm starving. But here goes:
The buffet is what everybody has - it is more economical. The options are very limited, and I've been to a bunch of Indian restaurants where the spread is much larger. They serve chappatis and not roti or naan cooked in a tandoor. Which is okay, but not my preferred Punjabi bread.
Punjabi Hut claims to be "home-style" food, which is accurate. I like the fact that the food is not particularly greasy, which Punjabi food can be if cooked without much concern.
But I suppose the key questions are: would I go here again, or would I recommend eating Indian food at Punjabi Hut if you're in the Niagara Falls area? My answer is no. I don't think the food is exceptional.. I don't even think its something to write home about, or look out for. If you're craving Indian food and are living in the Falls area, this is a short walk (about 10 minutes from the Visitor Center) away. But its ordinary food. I think its meant for people who want their fix of Indian food.
The staff is nice enough, and no complaints there. You pick up the vegetables from the buffet and ask for the rotis to be brought to your table. That happens quickly enough. -

Punjabi Hut is located on Niagara Street but they also have a Punjabi Hut Express booth at the intersection of Rainbow Blvd and Mayor Michael O'Laughlin Blvd.
The booth/shack only serves quick chaat food that they prepare on the spot for you as you like it. Their bhel puri was actually not bad at all and their prices were more decent than several other Indian restaurants in the area!
