This adorable place has a giant fireplace when you walk in and apparently used to be the storage room of the wife of one of the wealthy merchants in the early days of the city.  She used to keep her furs and china in there.  I think I read this on the menu.  I should have taken a picture of it so I'd remember... but I didn't.

Now, it's a bar.  It's built with all these stones and has a rounded ceiling.  It looks like a giant vault and indestructible, and it's great.  People were streaming in left and right, but it was never too crowded, as they won't serve you unless you are seated.  Although they don't have a full dinner menu, they have a few things that can whip up for your all behind their teensy bar.  My husband tried and loved the french onion soup - it seemed to be what everyone in the bar was eating.

Another great place in Quebec to while away the afternoon trying to warm up from the winter weather!
