The restaurant is no longer called the Pub du Quartier, it is now the Pub du Parvis. I went over for an early bite and a beer since I have to be up before dawn, and sat myself at the bar.
The bartender was very nice, very engaging and recommended a good beer. Still he left me to enjoy my enormous tureen of mussels that was fresh and wonderful. He offered me ketchup for the fries that came with it --kind gesture of sympathy for the American at the bar--although they didn't need it. Truth be told I am French enough to prefer bread with mussels, but as the saying goes when in Quebec....
Canadian prices continue to shock me, but that is true all over. All in all a nice experience and I will be back next time I am in town. -

Let's say OUI OUI!! to this restaurant in the heart of Quebec. Bon appetit! Mmmmmm!! Yummay in zee tummay!
This restaurant serves petit dejeuner (breakfast) to dinner and all of it is excellent!! Gives great huge portions, serves all types of dishes.
French, german, english, italian. The bestests!!!
So fantastic and semi-french but not too french, YOU KNOW!?!
Hahahh.. So if you're finding yourself in Quebec City, French Canada, Quebec, hah, visit here for a nice full happy belly. :D -

I had dinner here and was perfectly happy with my meal. I had the salmon tartar to start, and while I'm usually very wary of getting fish in places I don't know well it turned out to be quite tasty. I followed that up with the linguine carbonara. That's kind of my safe meal since I've found it's difficult to screw that up. Overall I enjoyed my meal and would be happy to eat there again.
