Greasy spoon right in the heart of the city. The Wallyburger (a burger with peanut butter + bacon) is the best in the city and is also an amazing value. Great fries as well. I also hear good things about the perogies and burritos but I can't convince myself not to get a burger every time. Tasty milkshakes, one milkshake order is enough for two people, I would just avoid the banana flavour. Unfortunately no VISA/debit transactions and the crowd later at night can be a bit excessive.

This place was a staple in my youth when it came to hang outs and chow down's. A great spot for that greasy spoon you need to fill.
Recommended:
-Diner club. Last i checked it wasn't on the menu, but always on the blackboard overhead.
-Milkshake. Damn good.
-Burritos. They layer sour cream on top which is such a positive thing for me.
-The fries are the ultimate.
Open til 4am, but avoid the 230-4 hour when school is in, unless you're obliterated.
A true London staple. -

For a moment I was transported to another time and place: personable service, classic diner decor and dinner for two under $20. Portions are very generous. The varied menu has something to please everyone with some interesting twists including the Wally Burger (topped with peanut butter). It`s not a huge place, so expect line-ups after bar closing hours. Also, bring cash. There`s no credit or debit.

Review from Richie S.
Went to Western and staggered in here many nights after being forcibly removed from bars on Richmond Row.
Fastforward 15 years and whilst visting family, dropped in here for lunch. Chocolate shakes are still delish. Breakfasts had all-'round.
The quintessential greasy-spoon. Was it a dream I had of taking the Dukes of Hazzard lunch pail that was on display years ago? It wasn't there any more - just sayin'. -

I've been here twice, one was a good experience, the other was forgettable. The first time, I had some perogies with rice and sour cream and they hit the spot very very nicely. The second time around, I had a falafel plate. After biting into one, I was about ready to leave. In spite of that though, the prices are fairly low and the portions are generous so if you're in the mood for greasy diner food, this spot should satisfy. They're open very late too which is good for night owls.

Great diner located right in the heart of the Richmond row, the decor, tables, chairs and booths are like stepping back into a 50's diner. When you walk in you take your seat (or order for take-out) and the "waiter" lol came right away to hand us the menus and take out drink orders. A couple mins later he returned and promptly took the food orders.
The food was prepared to order fresh and delishious and came out very fast actually, all 3 meals came out at the same time and in no longer than 10 mins even though they were pretty busy, which they usually are whether you there at 2pm or 2am. But none the less the food tasted great and big portions as well.
All in all great place to stop in for a quick bite after the bars or anytime of day while browsing beautiful downtown London. And great prices too, nothing is over $10. -

This greasy spoon has been a staple in downtown London for ages. The menu is full of diner classics, strange burgers and everything your drunk mind desires. It is the place to go after a night on Richmond Row, a day of shopping, or just as a quick bite to eat. The burgers aren't the best I've had but they are definitely good enough to eat again and again. The loaded pirogies are delicious and a travesty to healthy eating the world over, but then again so is everything else at Prince Al's. It's a great place to have an informal meal and a few beers with a few friends, with the staff very friendly and the music straight out of the nineties. Late night is a mess at Prince Al's, and if you happen to have the munchies at 2 AM on a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday night I suggest you take your business elsewhere because the drunks turn the place into a zoo and it's just not a pleasant place to be sober. Any other time though, it's one hell of a dive and if you happen to order the right thing, your stomach will thank you...your blood pressure might not.
