Prima Italian Market offers up the best of the best in Italian fare this side of Italy. From antipasti, gourmet specialties, olives, olive oils, balsamic vinegars to deli meats, cheeses, spices, fresh and dried pastas, sauces, breads and Italian imports, Prima is one of the best Italian markets in the city. The house-made pesto is top-notch!

Moving from Montreal to Vancouver, I felt sure that I was giving up on really good Italian produce. I especially did not expect to find what I was missing in North Van.! But, there, on the rainy North Shore, I found my heart's desire in the way of anything I could dream of in the Italian food department. Here you will find pungent cheeses, all kinds of olives and olive oils, fresh pasta, oh so fresh pesto, along with breads, Italian imports and...oh, I am getting hungrier by the minute! So, stop here and put a little zesty Italian into your cooking!
