Oddly enough, I've never been in Edmonton for Halloween, which is a shame because this Pretty Party Place would definitely be my store of choice for costume shopping.
The store is actually pretty big, so there's a lot to choose from. I needed some supplies for a birthday party but I saw some awesome costumes that they had on sale. I was able to buy everything I needed and was done shopping in fifteen minutes.
To top it off, a lot of the stuff that's sold here is pretty cheap. Definitely a good party store. -

At Halloween, Pretty Party Place is out-of-this-world fantastic with costumes, props, and decorations galore. From kids to adults, silly to gory, you will find the right outfit and accessories for any party.
Throughout the rest of the year, this place is still one of the best spots in the city for party supplies, but it does pale in comparison to its shining moment in October.
I was able to find a few neat decorations for my "Dress up as your favourite popstar" themed birthday party. Surprisingly little in the way of Hannah Montana supplies, but the Justin Bieber "VIP Room" poster made up for that. The Selena Gomez "Happy Birthday" wall prop was a nice touch, too. -

Wow, let just say that if you're looking to have a themed party, Pretty Party Place may be the only store you'll ever need.
This place is totally awesome. I often come here during Halloween, when I am looking for a cool costume accessory or unique decoration. I find the rubber masks really neat. I've seen one of Pinhead from the Hellraiser movies and many of famous Presidents too.
The wigs are an awe of colour--hot pink, electric blue, and lime green. There's even wigs with dreadlocks and of long, straight, shiny hair--perfect for that 70s look.
I like the Halloween decals they have this year of Freddy Kruegar or Jason from the Halloween movies. You can stick these are on your mirrors or windows to totally freak someone out. The ones of shadows that you stick to your walls are really cool too.
There's all kinds of party must-haves here for all kinds of themes, like Hawaiian and even army. This place is also filled with all kinds items for kids' birthday parties, anniversaries, weddings, and New Year's Eve. I think Pretty Party Place basically has it all covered.
Oh, and of course, they have gift wrap, bags, bows, and greeting cards too (and bunch more stuff that I've probably failed to mention). -

This is great during Halloween. It gets so packed with people looking for last minute costumes and why not? They have costumes for all ages and all types of people. They have the largest wig selection I have seen, an entire wall full, and of all colors.
It's not just for Halloween though it is great for any party. They have party hats, accessories and all types of party goodies. Some of the stuff here is really expensive though, mostly on Halloween. They know they will be getting last minute shoppers willing to pay anything so you might want to check the price before you get overly excited. Although it might be expensive you will definitely find a good costume here.
