Well I'll start off this review by saying that they probably chose the worst location which is in the middle of nowhere in the city to put such an amazingly good restaurant such as Porta di Roma. We came in on a Friday night and the restaurant was relatively empty with only a few other tables of diners. None the less we were seated immediately and with the choice of whether to sit in the main dining room, or the sun room, this time we chose the sun room because it seemed more dimly lit and a little more romantic.

Upon being seated we were handed menus and asked what we would like to start off for drinks, and brought out probably some of the best bread as an appetizer that I have ever tasted! Not to mention the marinara dipping sauce was absolutely out of this world. After we ordered we were offered a salad with choice of dressing which was brought out at a very timely matter pretty much right after we had finished the amazing bread and marinara. Then the main entrees came out which were prepared pretty fast, and prepared to perfection as well. The food was amazing to say the least, I ordered the Chicken Cacciatore which was served with a huge heap of spaghetti and you could definitely tell that it was authentic homemade Italian cooking, the better half ordered the jumbo cheese ravioli which was baked in a bed of their amazing sauce and fresh cheese to top it off, that also tasted absolutely amazing.

The portions are more than generous and you get free bread and salad with your meal as well, the service was great and very friendly. Although the terrible location this is my new go to for authentic Italian cuisine in London and I will definitely be returning again, probably at least once a week it was so good. Well worth the drive from any part of the city, check it out you'll be more than glad that you did.

Kinda in a not typical location off an intersection of highway entrance and a busy road, but a nice true Italian-theme resto w/ lots of parking.  One distinct feature is what i call the solarium, lots of window seating and booths here, bonus.

Ordered the baked lasagna, generous w/ its cheese & sauce, a bit light on the meat, but hey, that may be a good thing.  Came with these incredible tender moister dinner rolls, what a nice way of baking this in a twirl.

A good size appy of a garden salad, all for under $14.

Customer service was friendly too, and a nice touch was the lemon in hot water.  Gotta love that, eh?

Lots of parking and probably a great pit stop for the big rigs ;)
