Not much to screw up here. It's a driving range by day and a drive-in movie theatre by night. It's in the city limits. It's attached to the Polson Pier complex [http://www.yelp.ca/biz...](formerly The Docks) so that once you're done bashing a bucket of balls into oblivion, you're able to go have a drink and take in the rest of the complex. You can even go to the mini-golf holes to work on your short game.
Buckets of balls are fairly reasonably priced for the bucket of 68 you get spat out from the token machine. It's a 300 yard range with 2 levels of tees available, 58 tees in total. Feel free to bring your own or rent clubs there. When there aren't movies being shown, the driving range is available for night-time driving, giving you the movie screen for a target (and good luck with hitting that).
Oh, and if you're like me and truly suck at golf, you can take lessons there as well. There are instructors that will help you de-slice your slice and stop people from calling you a hooker. -

They recently raised the prices, yet everything is still the same. Crappy range and rock hard balls.
PRICES:
Mon - Fri
$14 per bucket
2 for $24
Weekend
$16 per bucket
2 for $27
Really good way to waste money, but with no other options for golf downtown, It's pretty much your only option if you live in the area. I think the next closest place is Beach Fairways, but it's also pretty pricey. -

Cons: Probably the most expensive public driving range in Toronto that's not indoors, especially on the weekends. However you can reduce that by buying 2 tokens for $20 for an average sized bucket. Because its automated, you can also use these on the weekends, when they jack up the prices. But hey, at least there is a facility in Downtown Toronto.
Pros:
It's in Toronto.
It's Multi Level.
It's got heaters.
There's parking.
It's got other entertainment. You can go sit and have a beverage off the lake with one of the better city views after a session.
So the pros out weigh the cons.
The range does close early on Friday and the weekends as it becomes a drive-in.Listed in: Toronto Golfer's Not So…

Formally know as The Dock Driving Range, it's a part of the Polson Pier Complex that has mini putt, go-karts, trapeze, a night club and much more.
We walked here - it's a long walk, and the location is pretty out of the way - I would suggest taking a car or a cab as there are no bus routes that really go here that often.
There are not many driving ranges in the heart of the city - so it's kind of got a monopoly, but what can you do when land is so expensive and parking lots are becoming condos. This place also doubles as a drive in at night - a pretty ingenues idea.
I don't know anyone who in their right mind would go here in the winter, but the multi-level complex is heated. I can only imagine shanking a ball in 40 below weather and feeling the shake and pain up that shaft, but that's just me.
The buckets of balls are a reasonable size, and I'm normally done after a bucket and a half. It's much cheaper to hit balls during the week, but as Tony F mention, buy 2 tokens for $20 is your best bet as you can use them on the weekend when the place is busier and the prices go up.
If you forget your clubs or are looking for a place to take the kids to try their hand at golf, they rent clubs and you generally get an iron and a driver/wood. The clubs are crap, but if you didn't bring your own, you can't complain.
The best part, and one that always makes a hot day better - you can purchase beer and booze in the "club house" and bring it with you to the tee. I don't think I know of any other driving range that does this.
On my last visit I only took in the driving range section, but the mini putt looks ok too. I'll be heading back this summer I'm sure.
