I found this little gem through an online search and couldn't be happier with this place. I attended my first pole dancing class a few weeks ago. I have taken classes with Michelle, Tina and Lizzy, and each have been encouraging and friendly, and have catered the classes to each particular student's level. With their guidance, I have already learned a lot of spins and tricks in just several classes.
The studio has about 7 brass poles, with 6 being static and one turning/ rotating pole. You must sign up for classes ahead of time online. The studio sells pole dancing shorts and shoes- I just bought a pair of black heels from them that I love.
The class is non-intimidating to beginners, which was a huge plus as I was incredibly intimidated the first time I came- that has changed! Now I'm addicted. -

Came here for a 2 hour private lesson for a bachelorette party. The place and floors are fairly clean and they have heels that you can rent if you don't bring your own. The instructor was kind but was very soft spoken she taught us some ways to strut around the pole, a couple spinning techniques and some sassy moves and then left us to play around and experiment and practice the combination she taught us. She did a great job considering there were more girls than there were poles, she had us switch off and helped anyone that was having a difficult time.
Good times, at the end she let the bride-to-be strut around in her 8 inch heels and allowed time for pictures.
I think the only thing I would improve have the teacher get us pumped up and ready to do some pole dancing! during the class, it started off really slow and the energy level never really got above that...could be because some of us were hung over, but I think we would have appreciated some more lively activity! Other than the times we were left to play around, it was pretty dull. -

Oh my goodness, I bought a groupon to try this place out and I felt so Not SASSY doing the moves on the pole. LOL (since it was my first time) - It was so fun at the same time because I kept laughing at myself through the entire class, and Michelle O. was so nice. She took the time to show me what to do. Michelle was so good at it! She made it look easy, and towards the end of the class she taught us how to put all the elements together, so it looked smooth. It was basically our little "mini show" --- Wild thang! The other two girls that were in class with me were also really good at the pole thang! They said they were only doing it for a few months, wow!
I'm definitely going to finish my groupon classes, and purchase a few classes on the side to learn some moves for the dance floor! haha :) -

My friend discovered this studio and suggested we take an "Intro to Pole" class. Heh, let's get all the "pole" jokes out of the way. OK, back to business...We pre-registered and started practicing our sexy faces in anticipation for the first class. We hit a wee speed bump on our first visit -- Pay Pal was down on the day I registered/pre-paid, our names didn't make it onto the class list, no one called to let us know, and the class was full when we showed up -- so we had to reschedule. A little bit disappointing, but understandable.
Clad in teeny shorts, tanks, and nervous-but-excited smiles, we trekked back down to the Banker's Hill studio for our class. I think our teacher's name was Michelle, and she was super sweet. Stripper shoes were available to rent for $5. The studio was a good size, with huge mirrors and a great sound system. I liked how the teacher locked the heavily-curtained front door, presumably so that no pervs would stumble in whilst the class was practicing body rolls and fireman spins. We started with a short warm up, and then Michelle went through basic moves and some simple spins. Yes, it is funny to take yourself seriously while you're writhing around a pole, but fortunately the other girls in the class were beginners too, and everyone giggled and had a great time. At the end of the class we started (trying to) climb up the pole - which is WAY harder than one would think.
I initially scoffed at the idea that pole dancing could be a good workout, but it's three days later and my abs and arms are still sore as can be! I guess that means I was working something out.
Overall, I really enjoyed the class and the studio. Single pole classes are $25. Since it was my first pole class experience, I'm not sure if this is pricey or not. My friend and I are thinking of buying a $150 unlimited month pass. We really want to try out the Go Go Dancing, Burlesque, and Lap Dancing classes which are also offered at the studio. The schedule also includes Intermediate and Advanced Pole classes, as well as Pilates, I think.
This is random but I have totally been enjoying the studio's playlist which I stumbled onto from their website. If you're looking for a fun, sexy playlist, check out http://www.playlist.co.... Enjoy! -

Our instructor Lacy was not only was extremely good at warming up with really great stretching and guidance.
Also, the whole pole class was so great. Not only to demonstrate, both fast and in slow motion, describing muscles and body parts function, movement in the different spin,
but also, she was able to help out with each of us participants with what we did wrong or what we needed to change to make the spin complete, less bruised up and also to make it look hot.
To be an instructor and to show something that you are good at, could be quite easy, but to really find what each one of us would need to do improve and took time to help, inspire and keep us feel happy and pleased with our time and hard effort. She deserves GREAT credit. I was highly impressed. And of course, I had a GREAT time!!! -

I wanted to try something different and Pole Fitness was that new fun class. My friends and I started with Thursday's Intro class with Rosemary who is hot! We had a blast learning how to walk, pirouette, and spin. We also learned some basic floor work. It was awesome. I got more friends to go to class too and they had a great time.
Rosemary, Carmen, and Maridza are great teachers. They really do help the student. My first time going to beginner's, Carmen spent the time to help me get all the moves. I was shy and it was really hard! And the girls that go to the classes are great. Karen, Brandy, and Linda really helped me out with my first Beginner's class.
There are 7 poles with 1 being a spinner. There are huge curtains too. Whenever I go, classes are full with 10-11 people and people share the poles. Classes are $25 but there are packages and monthly specials.
I haven't tried any of the other classes. I want to but the times conflict. If only they had more classes!
Before taking these classes, I was shy and lacked confidence doing all these sexy moves. Now I'm all about doing the body roll and hip rolls on the dance floor. But now I'm obsessed with trying to spin whenever I see a pole. I might need rehab. -

I took my first burlesque class tonight with Mitchell. There were 7 girls, and it was an hour of having fun and learning the basic principles of burlesque. We learned a little bit of a routine and how to put our own spin on it and make it our own.
The studio is in a nice quiet area, parking is good, and the atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming.
I'm really excited to check out their other classes! -

This place is awesome. took a pole dancing class for a bachelorette party. a private class is great. Just be prepared to be sore and bruised after the class. Great work out and you can learn a great routine. The dance studio is pretty large compared to another i've been to. There were 7 poles set up so we were able to rotate since there were 9 of us. I had so much fun and i'll probably check out their other classes.

I booked a private bachelorette party at Pole Sinsations at the San Diego location and was so blown away with Anissa and the whole process my friends and I are now hooked burlesque. We have been talking about it non stop. We had a very eventful weekend planned, facials, karaoke, sushi, cabanas, table service, Disneyland...but the one thing we are still talking about is Anissa and our dance lessons. I had a great time and will most definitely be back as soon as I am in San Diego again. Make sure you ask for Anissa.

Awesome dance studio! This appears to be the only serious pole dance studio in San Diego. The classes range from Intro to Pole Dance for total beginners, to Advanced classes teaching pole tricks and combinations, so it never gets boring. Pole dance is SUPER fun and a great workout! They also have fun non-pole-based classes - Burlesque, Lap Dance, and Go-Go classes. Of course I am biased because they have been so good to me - they take excellent care of their regular students! Highly recommended!
