Full points to Pete, the owner who also happens to be an ex-racer (you see the trophies when you enter his shop). Quick service, reasonable rates and very friendly staff. Going for my second oil change tomorrow.
I initially found this place through yelp and it lived up to its 5 star rating.
I recommend it for anyone looking for a mechanic or a quick oil change. -

Found this place through Yelp and liked the reviews... (why I don't see them now, who knows) Decided to try them out after being screwed over by my last mechanic.
Just had a major service performed at the Dealer, but it was time for an Oil Change, so i brought it by for a quick change while I waited. During the change, the mechanic spotted some damage to the alternator belt, and brought it to my attention. The replacement price was reasonable, and they could get the parts in and installed in under an hour, so I said go for it. After all the work was done and paid for, I was pulling away and noticed I had a low tire. D'oh, must have picked up a nail in the parking lot (it's in rough shape). No problem, they grabbed the car, wheeled it in and plugged the tire for me, no charge. Thanks guys... see you in 5000km! -

I've been going to Pole Position for a couple of years now, after my last mechanic moved to Peterborough (long drive when your car's broken!). The husband of a friend recommended the shop, and I'm so happy he did! Pete is the owner, and he's great to deal with. When I had my crappy old car, he would fix what needed to be done to keep me driving safely, because he knew that I didn't want to put a lot of money into a 14 yr old car. I didn't have any problem saying to him "the car is doing this/that/other thing, and I my budget is x number of dollars". He was always way under my budget...my idea of a great mechanic! Now that I have a shiny new car, I keep coming to see Pete. He does all my oil changes, and whatever maintenance I need to keep the warranty valid, and charges a whole lot less than dealership prices. I know if he finds anything that should be a warranty repair, he'll send me back to the dealership to get it fixed there for free. I've sent a few people to him, and they've always been really happy with the service too. I don't ever worry that I'm going to be "oversold" on anything when I bring my car into this shop.
