    Wow! This store rocks!!!
I always drove by and finally decided to walk in the other day and I had no idea we had such a great store in the area!.
It is pretty big, open floors, lots of aisles and the best variety of organic products at good prices (not cheap but certainly cheaper than other stores).
I could have easily spent 3 hours in there! They have everything you could need: organic, gluten free, vegan, health products, vitamins...I think is great and I am so happy I walked in.
They have a deli so if you feel like snacking something healthy and tasty, this is the place to go.
My first time was great and I will definitely be back soon.
5 stars for variety, quality and service for Planet Organic! ;)

Finally an Organic Market that has it all! It's like Whole Foods to me- just more intimate and the atmosphere is great! Staff is super helpful too!

Check it out! I'll be there frequently ;)

This is an absolutely LOVELY market. Why isn't there one in MY neighbourhood? (wah-h-h-!)
Or anywhere in Vancouver, for that matter. Probably because this is an independent market, ripe for the plucking from one of the big conglomerates.. (we won't name any names)

People around PoCo must love having this place to themselves. The next one west of here is Victoria!

There are lots and LOTS of really great whole foods choices, ;-) regular meal and snack foods, as well as many diet restrictive options.

So people, don't miss out. If you're planning a trip out to PoCo, do stop in here with an appetite, and YAY for independence!

I am happy to announce today started a passionate love affair for me with Planet Organic Market. Yes, Choices, I am now a swinger and you are no longer my number one.

I've randomly noticed this market in the past, but haven't ever stopped in... well today was the day I drove by and said, yes, I am going in.

    Best decision of my life.

Walking in the merchandising is fun, there are fun colors everywhere, and signage is a dream. The actual store is somewhat small (for a North American grocer), but loaded with goodies.

I was greeted right as I walked in (yay for friendly service!) and I made a beeline for the bulk section. I was on a mission for quinoa flour. They did have a few wheat free flours, but nothing I didn't already have. Half disappointed I thought I would take a wander to see if they had a baking section.

And then it happened.... I saw "flour" so I went to said aisle. And like the skys opening on a stormy day and the light of God touching down on me I walked into the aisle and found every kind of alternative flour known to wheat intolerants/celiacs. And other baking necessities necessary for wheat free baking (xanthum gum anyone?) The greatest part, they even had the big bags offered for their in house label. I continued down the aisle, and had to pinch myself to know I wasn't dreaming. Every product made by Bob's Red Mill, Kinnikinnick, loads by Glutino, and several others. Gluten free cookies, breads, crackers, pretzels, baking requirements galore and premixes... my hand filled quickly and I had to go get a basket.

After a week long craving for a bagel (and several times stating "I would kill for a bagel and cream cheese), I FINALLY found the Kinnikinnick wheat free bagels! Swish! I swear, I almost cried tears of joy.

Once I had all the wheat free I could handle, I also perused the cleaning section and got enviro friendly cleaners, checked out the organic dairy products, tofu, and well anything else I could. The one section I strangely didn't look in depth was produce... but things did look yummy.

This is my new happy place where I can shop like a normal person for food. The prices on the whole are good, but note they range from cheaper than everywhere else to double the price of competitors. It is organic and wheat free heaven and completely worth the drive for me. The shopability factor ups their stars, and their efficient and friendly service makes my heart beat faster. Ooooh.... and to seal the deal on my love at first shop, they do not have plastic bags at all. As my nemisis is plastic bags, I know we are meant for each other.

Wow, I am so happy I stopped here the other day.  I had no idea they had so much good stuff.  It's like a Capers or Choices, but cheaper.

I was asked by very nice staff if I needed help, which I did, and was lead to the exact things I was looking for, rather than just being pointed in a direction.  I was super impressed with their selection of alternative flours, and the fact that they had an in-house brand to save you some moola.  The prices are the best I have ever seen for Bob's Red Mill flours, too.  This place is a GF person's dream.  Or in my case, a cousin's dream.

They also had a good selection of "healthy stuff" like chia seeds and hemp hearts and the like, which I snatched up to make my breakfasts energy rich.

I love that they also carry a small selection of organic and local (LOCAL!!) meats.

I'm just so impressed, and happy that I am currently working close to here for a couple weeks.  It'll be worth the extra trip once in a while after my work here is done, though.

In Coquitlam, there is a health food slash grocery store that is a real find. They have a wonderful selection of gluten free foods, both the common and uncommonly found ones. Everytime I go I see something new. Their deli always has some sides like quinoa salad or others that are great to take home for a snack. I love the feel of this store, and stop by whenever I get a chance. They have pretty much everything you are looking for in the world of gluten free. Check them out on Lougheed Hwy close to the mall.

Planet Organic http://www.planetorgan... has a large selection of GF items.  They are a bit pricy though but often have sales on some items. They have an extensive GF flours section and freezer section full of GF foods. They probably have one of the best gluten free flour selections in the Lower Mainland. They also carry GF bread "O'doughs" as do many other GF markets, but also offer them in the 'unfrozen' state.

Planet Organic is also the only store in which I have found the Luna and Larry's Coconut Bliss dark chocolate bars...which are absolutely sinful! Try one they are sooo delicious!

I love going to this market whenever I can and I always find excellent food ingredients here.
