Proof that restaurants named after controversial drugs are catchy: this Yaletown yuppie eatery is hip and dark just like the name - but don't worry ladies, you can drink alcohol on this Plan B *cheerleaders unite and celebrate*!

Funny #1: First thing is first, I love the name. Unfortunately, this place isn't a contraceptive goodie bag. This restaurant site was the owner's second choice and after he was dumped by the first site that he had his eye on, and he named it thusly.

Funny #2: After I was seated at a window side setting for two, I found it amusing how the waitress so sweetly attempted to finish her explanation of how "tapas" works like I don't breath, sleep and eat dim sum - hello lady, how did you miss the Honger hair cut and peace sign -_- ?

Cool #1: West coast tapas prepared with some flair, fusion and local ingredients. As I was stalking the osso bucco being served at the table next to us, I enjoyed watching the prim and proper, lanky, blonde waitress slap the rice out of the bone and spill it all over the gentleman's lap (Sheila W. is right, therein definitely lies some naughty connotations :D).

Cool #2: Pork paté?! Ground up deliciousness dotted with penny-sized saturated fat morsels, wrapped in bacon?! *faints*

I will be back to sample more tapas since they speak my language - bacon. Maybe I'll let the waitress finish her explanation next time...

If you land a date who's a 10, this is a go-to destination with your A-Game and a Gold Card.

The hardwood floors and exposed brick walls makes you wonder if Plan B might have a naughty side. She likely does, because with prices on the wine list starting around $44, you might feel whipped.

The menu is chic small plates, think Wentzel Duck Breast with baby artichokes ($16), Stuffed Sweet Pepper Samosa with lemon curry foam ($13) and Steamed Local Mussels in tomato saffron broth ($16).

The food is meant to share, it drifts out of the kitchen as it's ready, not waiting for the rest. By the time you finish the first plate (in about three scant mouthfuls), you need another bottle of wine.

Plan B will tease you with tender and exotic mouth-watering sensations that whet your appetite but fail to satisfy. She leaves you perpetually longing for more.

Slightly below average to average quality for the price.  A firend and I made the mistake of coming unfortunately when they were switching to a new menu, and service was incredibly slow and food was even slower.  I don't know if it's always like that... I came here because of reviews from friends.

The server made us feel like she was doing us a favor by brining 2 tiny breadsticks to nibble on while we were waiting for about 4-5 tapas to arrive.  We ordered a mixture of mushroom risotto, sablefish, a ravioli dish and one or 2 other dishes I cannot recall.  The risotto was okay, but very strong in wine taste.  The sablefish was incredibly bland.  The ravioli was okay.  I can't recall the others so it probably wasn't very good.

Considering it was a weeknight and there was only about 3 other tables in the room, I would expect much faster service... it took over half an hour in between some dishes.

The decor is modern and in a great area.  I may have come on a bad night with it being a new menu, but there are many other places I'd rather go.

We stopped in to Plan B for an appetizer and cocktail to start our evening on Friday night. It was enough to make us want to come back, even just to re-experience the exact dish and drink that we had! The Foie Gras Terrine, which came with Sauternes caviar and pear chips was DIVINE. Accompanied by a vanilla lychee marini, we were pretty much in heaven. Modern decor, exposed brick, shared plates place. Yum.
