Review from Jaben C.
I am pizzicato jealous. The one by me never seemed as good as this one. They were super nice, the food tasted good, and I didn't have to deal with rude servers (like I do at the one near me). This is the first time in my life the Portland version of a restaurant was better then the Beaverton location. Who knew???

The people make this place. I always enjoy every person that works there because they seem absolutely genuine.

Pizzicato makes Portland's best pizza, hands-down. Their salads are fantastic, too - I love the garlicky deliciousness of their Caesars!!! Even their chocolate mints are delicious. Love love love this place.

I go back and forth about local chains, you know?
I mean...they're local, so they presumably do stuff in the community and have history in Portland and aren't owned by some faceless evil big wig, but also, a chain is a chain is a chain. They don't lend themselves to a ton of character, or diversity, and in this case, I'm not led to believe they use local ingredients (I very well may be wrong, but I've never seen anything that tells me otherwise and places usually like, wear that shit on their sleeve).
However, I like Pizzicato. It's not particularly inexpensive, or like I said, full of personality or quirkiness, but the food is good. The pizza is totally acceptable and filling and they always have 6 pies slice-ready. The salads are awesome and weigh like, 9 pounds (a medium is huge!) and a good salad is hard to find (much like a good man) and the staff at this location is always an appropriate balance of friendly and aloof in a way I enjoy.
The fact that it's extra local to my home probably doesn't hurt its cause for my dining here, but you know, it's...good. It's good. Totally good.Listed in: I love my neighborhood, Pizza Tastes

Located smack on Burnside, this is a lunch joint conveniently sandwiched between Starbucks and Wild Oats. It's a good place to grab a slice, but if you're there around 3:30 you'll be mobbed by high school kids. It's kind of cute to check out the latest high school styles (backpacks, leggings, cell phone covers) while eating a slice at the bar, but it's not made for staying long.
This upscale pizzeria has good fresh salads and pizzas by the slice or as a whole. They're a bit pricier than the average place, but the salads are worth it. By the slice the pizzas are good too, though not quite as good as Hot Lips. Pizzicato plays with cheeses and favors kalamata olives, two things I love, but their toppings don't get very adventurous and the crust tastes salty to me. I still like it, it's just not my favorite. -

I'm really careful in my reviews of chain restaurants, especially when they are pizza chains. Still, Pizzicato never lets me down.
Also, this place is a step above the rest as their staff is really nice and they are located in a super handy spot.
You can watch a movie at Laurelhurst Theater (who sells their pizza btw), do your shopping at Whole Foods, grab some meat at Laurelhurst Market, grab your pizza for dinner, and finish it all off with a trip down dive bar lane at Holman's. Really, it adds a much needed element to the 28th and Burnside area: Pizza without a line. -

Slightly expensive for what it is, if not lacking the in the volume-of-sauce department. The location is convenient, the soda selection is quirky and subject to change -- but ultimately interesting. The salads are simple, and tasty.
I regularly have fun, talkative servers. These folks help right all the wrongs in the previous paragraph. Or so I tell myself. Try it out! -

Went back, had pizza and salad, and it was just as good as the first time. Really impressive staff, with great customer service, including refills on drinks brought to the table and no attitude. We'll be back.

There's really nothing to complain about here. The pizza is solid. It's a bit over-priced. I had the 'whatever has caramelized onions' and it was pretty good. I'd never bitch about someone wanting to meet me here.

I like Pizzicato pizza; there are usually a lot of options for vegetarians and meat eaters. Great if you need something a bit more upscale, but still want pizza.

nothing special...
was in town for vacation and was looking for a pizza joint for a quick bite. we decided on Pizzacota since the fiance like the topping options. we decided to go to the burnside location thinking parking was easier than downtown. it was. it was pretty quiet for a sunday afternoon. they had nine pizza ready to go. all are handtoss creations with premium ingrediants. we had a slice of the chicken, potato, garlic and basil pizza and a arugala pear salad. They had a lunch special where you by a slice and get a salad for 3.50. the salad was flavorful and sizable for a side salad. the pizza was okay. crust was crunchy but it was a little bland for my liking. needed some kind of kick. the atmosphere was very laid back and the staff was friendly. you can just grab a table, read a magazine that they have available and enjoy your food. i'm probably going to see what else is available for pizza the next time i am in town. -

I thoroughly enjoy their pizza. I like the fact that they don't overdue the sauces in their pizza like most places. Their food is always consistent and the staff friendly. They make a good crust and don't have to hide it by overloading the sauce and toppings. They consistently change their menu by offering a variety of their regular flavors along with a couple specials.

Great customer service. They went way out of their way to make me a Thai tofu pizza today. And it was the most amazing pizza I've ever had! Thank you!
