Context is everything here people. One should not throw all pizza restaurants in the same category, clearly there are two broad groups that stand apart from each other, the "budget slicery" and the fancy pizzeria often serving flatbread organic dantiness.
Pizza Zone falls into the first category and is the best pizza by the slice spot in Victoria. Coming from Vancouver myself, it likely beats the best Vancouver has to offer as well. The crust has a fried consistency to it with a crispy golden outside and soft fluffy inside. The toppings are plentious and tasty. The pop is in glass bottles and this place is always busy. The 420 pizza is their most popular and it is the best meat lovers I have ever tasted.
The only pizza I can compare this to is pizza hut, except the dough is a bit better and the toppings are a little less heavy (only a little). -

We had been craving one of Pizza Hut's "Cheesy Bites" pizzas, but we were disappointed to find out that Pizza Hut is no longer offering it. We needed to find another place for delivery and decided to give the Pizza Zone a try due to both intrigue and positive reviews on Urbanspoon (apparently 84% of the people on there like Pizza Zone's pizza).
I rarely travel down Cook Street, but I take Quadra more frequently. There's a new location on Quadra, and admittedly we were intrigued by their tagline - "Home of the 420." So we decided to give the location on Quadra Street a call, only to hear that the Quadra location was not offering delivery - just the one on Cook. How bad could it be (despite the lame name)?
We did not order the 420 as it was loaded with meat (and my wife is a strict vegetarian).
So I called up, and ordered a pizza (four toppings) - $3 delivery charge. Including an additional tip - the cost was $28.
And while the pizza arrived promptly and our order was correct, everything about the pizza itself disappointed. The crust was dry and appeared to have been made from frozen dough. Even worse, it had an aftertaste.
The button mushrooms on top of the pizza were dry and shriveled - so were the green olives. And while the menu specifies that the pineapple is "Dole Pineapple," they do not specify that it is the pineapple with added sugar. -

When you're completely obliterated drunk and you stumble out of Logan's and into Pizza Zone, you feel like you've arrived in Heaven. Greasy, cheesy, cheap deliciousness that fuels you enough for the long walk home.
That being said, I'll never, NEVER, order a pizza from Pizza Zone for home delivery again. The pizza that was delivered to us was a sad, pathetic excuse for a pie and we were depressed for weeks afterwards.
Only eat at pizza zone drunk. Eating it sober will crush you. -

The 420 from Pizza Zone is an amazing meat-lovers pizza. It is loaded with enough meat for 2 meat-lover pizzas from anywhere else. So tasty and so much meat. I would definitely recommend this pizza.
