The prices here are what blow me away! So often I've paid more money than is necessary for vintage clothes, but this place is affordable and adorable.
The staff are friendly and funny, and the shop gives a percentage of profits to charity... wait, what? Yes, people out there do still care about people other than themselves.
The fact that Pink Elephant is REASONABLE and CHARITABLE makes it my new favourite vintage shop. -

New vintage shop on Commercial drive- I sometimes think that "vinatge" just means "sell my old back-of-the-closet-crap to young hipster kids that think they are being trendy"
this place is no exception.
BUT like ANY vintage shop they have a zillion things you don't want and one or two GEMS you DO want. And it really is VERY affordable to boot.
Bought the cutest little black dress for 18$
AND they give a percentage of their profit to charity AND you get to CHOOOSE YOUR OWN CHARITY.
How can you hate on that? I love that you get to choose because I'm VERY picky with giving away my money to just any cause.
love this place.
And the two adorable owners of this store are waaaay friendly and lovely.
check it out- you won't be disappointed. -

Commercial Drive's newest shop is a vintage store catering to those who really love vintage wear and not just to young hipsters looking to fit into the scene. The store is chock full of interesting finds - dresses, jackets, tops, accessories, and children's clothes. I appreciate the variety of sizes offered as often things are way to small for average sized people in a lot of vintage shops. I only had a minute to quickly browse though the bright pink storefront near Commercial and 2nd, but I will definitely be back to thoroughly check out the goods. For now, I'll be happy knowing there is another great store close enough for me to shop at during my lunch break.

while i DO really like the clothes i've seen, so far no one's mentioned the accessories!
got a very sweet pair of new aviators (not wonky lopsided second-handers!) and i love browsing the jewellry case up front. everything is super affordable (including a ridiculously cute chess piece charm bracelet for $7?!!) and they have a good variety, too. from small scale, understated pieces to crazed over-the-top Dynasty styles... something for everyone here - and everyone's budget too. welcome to the neighborhood!
