I visited Pimienta Bistro with a friend for lunch and am so glad I did. Pimienta's vibe is so cool, with an inviting atmosphere, warm aesthetics, charming decor, and a latin flare to it's character. The menu is limited but don't let this sway your decision to dine at Pimienta. Each dish on the menu is so vibrant and unique, it is obvious time has been spent on creating a specific menu to bring out the flavors reminiscent of Latin America and Europe.

I ordered the Butternut Squash and Goat Cheese Corn Tacos. I usually am not one to order a fried corn taco dish, however the Executive Chef, Blanca, informed me that this was her go to menu item when personally enjoying lunch. I ordered and was extremely satisfied that I did so. The flavors after taking one bite opened my eyes and had me wanting to continue to devour my selection until it was gone. The butternut squash was cooked so nicely and the goat cheese was a perfect compliment, not too overwhelming. I was given the choice of having a salad or soup as a side, I chose the salad which was garnished with fresh pears and walnuts. My entire meal was delicious. Blanca was very attentive to our table and very talkative, which I enjoyed. I learned a little bit about Blanca's background and her long time passion for exquisite food stemming from a family of food lovers and chefs.

My friend and I are excited to return to Pimiento and will definitely be sharing this very cool destination restaurant with all of our friends and family.

This is a perfect place to host a private event such as a birthday celebration, engagement party, or as a date night spot.

Next door is 8th Day Spa, which is my go to spot for nail services such as manicures and pedicures. Pimiento is a perfect place to dine with the ladies for lunch before/after getting a nail service, hair treatment, or spa service at 8th Day.

Next time I dine at Pimiento I am excited to explore their dinner menu and wine selection! (The bar looked very cool)

Phew!  I loved this restaurant under its former name of Peppercorn, and am so happy to find that the head chef, the kitchen crew and the best of the old menu are still there.

I had the mariscada, a saucy seafood dish with a smoky, spicy tomato base, clams, scallops, sausage, and nicely sized prawns. It came with warm rustic bread.  The mariscada was delicious, and it would have been nice to have more.  For appetizers, we ordered the fried calamari and the clams, both were delicious.  The calamari was nice, fresh, moist, crisp, delicate, maybe they used Panko breading; the dipping white sauce was nice and tangy.   The clams were cooked with Portuguese sausage and vinho verde, a very tasty dish.

My friend ordered the blue cheese burger (it came with delicious skinny, crispy, heavenly fries).  It seemed like the cheese had been liquified and injected into the middle .  At first, it seemed a little pricey but was filling, delicious, and worth it.  I couldn't keep my hands off my friend's fries.

The Chef came out with a tray of mini soup samplers for people dining. How lucky is that?  We tasted the Parmesan artichoke soup, it was silky, tangy and very tasty.  I will have that next time I come for lunch.

For dessert, we had the best creme brulee ever.  So good, that we had started with one to share and we ordered a second one.  Their coffee is served in a french press, a nice touch.  They have an extensive selection of European wines, a few from Washington and California, a full bar, and small but quality selection of bottled beers like Fish Tale Organic IPA, Leffe, Victoria, Negra Modelo and Stella.

This place is a nice change of pace for Browns Point. The atmosphere is nice, the service is very friendly, the food very yummy.  I recommend Pimienta for a date, to treat someone special, to celebrate an occasion, to catch up with your mom or friends in a nice, cozy corner of Federal Way.  It would be nice if they had more options for vegetarians and vegans.  If it's your first time, maybe go to lunch first, for a less pricey introduction.

This restaurant is so heavenly it attracted a chicken that crept around the parking lot for weeks trying to get chef Blanca to slaughter it in the hopes it might be served alongside her other tasty dishes. Instead, the benevolent chef named the hen "Pepper" and even found her a safe proper home.

If a chicken would sacrifice itself just to become a succulent Pimienta menu item, you can only imagine what people would do for a bite of Blanca's food...

The love and care that goes into your meal here makes dining at Pimienta Bistro & Bar feel like you are eating at your family's dinner table. Federal Way is lucky to have her!

A group of coworkers and I went here after work last night and we were all blown away. It's a good sign when you want to eat everything on the menu. For the record, I had the seafood with pearl couscous and the mexican chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream and caramel peanut butter sauce for dessert. I had beer, but everyone else had great looking cocktails from the bar. An easy 5-star review from me!

Easily the best and classiest restaurant in Federal Way. The food is incredible and so is the service. This bistro is something you would expect to see in a trendy downtown neighborhood, but we are lucky enough to have it here in Federal Way.

My husband and I dined here on a weeknight for his birthday.  What a treat!  It's nice to have such an amazing restaurant here in FW and not have to go to Tacoma or Seattle for an amazing meal.  We will be back again and again!

Love the starters, the soups, the salads, the mains and the desserts. The last time we visited I the calimari appetizer and the Pimienta salad. The time before I had the mariscada. My spouse had the rib eye steak last time and a burger the time before. We love the atmosphere and tge neighborhood feel. Ignore the gas station as you pull in. This bistro is a real treat.

I was happy to see that it was just a name change from Peppercorn to Pimienta. Apparently Pimienta is the Spanish equivalent for Peppercorn. That makes more sense now. Although Keith was none to happy he lost his Duke status. We love this place! Fantastic food, good and reasonably priced choices on the wine list. Everything I've had there I've enjoyed. If you are in the NE Tacoma area you should definitely stop and, and if you aren't in the area, well get there. It's worth the trip.
