Hung over? Hungry? and craving a burrito????
YES YES YES?????
I know its called Pick me Up Pizza Kitchen but it should really be called Pick Me Up Burrito Kitchen.
Everyone says the best burritos are found in the Mission. But I found this little place in the TenderNob area and the burritos were probably the most satisfying thing I've had for awhile, living on a college budget that is.
I ordered a Carne Asada Super burrito and was not disappointed at all. I definitely recommend this place for Mexican food.
As far as the Pizza? I can't say anything about it because I haven't tried it. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because the Mexican part of the restaurant doesn't stay open all night like the pizza does. -

I cant say this many negative things about this place. The prices are fair, the pizza is good, and the staff is friendly. They always seem pretty happy to have anyone stop by.
They have more than just pizza, but I just wanted pizza and you delivered some good pizza. Oh yeah they also have sweet potato fries. It is pretty good. Not as good as Pearls, but still alright. -

Their pesto ricotta pizza is awesome, never had anything like it before.
A slice of that costs $4 which is pretty standard but they have a stupid $5 rule on credit cards, so you're forced to get a drink. Service is quick and helpful and the atmosphere is cool. -

Good pizza & philly cheesesteak! Horrible nachos. Seriously, it's not hard to make nachos - pour some melted velveeta over tortilla chips. Somehow both the tortilla chips and the cheese were bad.

Ordered some food at 4:30pm...the guy on the other end said it would be delivered in 30 min. Called them back after waiting an hour...they knew nothing about my order. Food's ok...not worth the hassle of dealing with morons.

Pick Me Up Pizza was my first dining experience in San Francisco on my last trip. While the pizza wasn't astounding, I did get my huge slices as soon as they came out of the oven. Yay for super fresh! The dough was a little undercooked, but nothing that a healthy dose of hot sauce couldn't cover up.
The customer service was great and I think the cook was a little surprised when I said I wanted to eat in. The place was empty save another employee laying across the bench watching Stargate Atlantis on the flat screen. I was happy to see that while I sat there, more people started trickling in. We all know how that goes, if a place is empty you usually keep walking, but if there are a couple people in there you are much more inclined to pop in. Glad to provide that warm body for a moment.
Pick Me Up Pizza Kitchen definitely gave me the caloric pick me up I needed after my flight. Thanks guys! -

Really glad I came in here. I live close, so I knew I would sooner or later.
IT'S NOT ONLY PIZZA!
They advertise strongly towards pizza and pizza by the slice, considering they have a picture of pizza on their sign. But, they have SO much more! Tacos, salads, pasta, sandwiches, calzones, and pizza.. pizza..pizza. They have really good prices too.
I'm so glad they are here! I love me some Pearl's, but I can get a great meal here for cheaper if I want too.
They deliver too. Should I have them deliver one block? :p -

Like the tendernob needs ANOTHER pizza place.. but this is a good addition.
I have no shame. I have been to pretty much every pizza place in the area. Be it for a quick slice or the more so than often, drunken pizza craving. Their sauce- AMAZING. Love it.
They also have a great selection of other foods- their burritos are actually pretty good.
I have never had a life changing experience with pizza. And if I ever did I think I would sign up for an emergency session with my shrink. But their food is solid. Consistent with great service and always fresh ingredients. How can I complain? -

Living next door, I have been waiting for this place to open for weeks! It was worth the wait!! The Pizza by the slice is great, good crust, lots of flavor and great sauce... but I am writing this as I devour a Calzone that is the size of Justin Bieber's head.
Stuffed with Pepperoni, Sausage, Mushroom and Black olives (plus lots of cheese) it rings in at $8 and it is leaving me stuffed!
Spoke with a neighbor who was just finishing up a burrito and said it ranked up there with those in the mission.
I also noticed that they have plenty of outlets to plug in your computer. Forgot to ask if they had WiFi, but if they do, I have found my new office!
this is a VERY welcome addition to the neighborhood. -

Based on the first three five-star reviews, I was hoping to be blown away by Pick-me-up. I wasn't, but this is a solid effort for sure.
Pizza: good by Frisco standards, average by NYC standards.
Tacos: good by Frisco standards, average by San Diego standards
I do like the ability to get both pizza and a taco, and that's what sets this place apart.

Big menu with lots of variety. There aren't a lot of places where you can get a burger, pizza, calzone, sandwich, or burrito, and know whatever you get is going to taste good. First time here I got the super burrito, which was a bit... flat, but still huge, and tasted almost as good as some of the best taquerias in the area (and for a good price). Second time I got the Pick Me Up Burger, which is a pretty good sized bacon cheeseburger with fries and whatnot for $8.50. My friend got a calzone for under $6 and he said it was really good. Portions here are plenty big and prices are very reasonable, and the food tastes good. It's cooked right in front of you too. Ironically the pizza is the weakest item here... it's kinda pricey and not that impressive.

The price is right, but the first slice I had there a few weeks ago was markedly better than the one I had yesterday, in which they really used too much cheese.
I'll be back for another slice of that pesto and feta pizza, though! -

Perfect vegetarian late night slice in the most suitable location of lower Nob Hill. Damn, I was craving a mid night slice after leaving the Cellar and it seemed like the miracle this place was here. Got a good sized square veg. slice for a little less than $4. I usually don't eat late nights anymore but this time, I was glad I did. The pizza was good, and the name fits the place all too well. I'll come back if I'm in the area late at night again!

A few friends and I just returned from a trip to the East Coast and experienced a dramatic change in climate. Returning to SF on a very hot day we decided to walk around Union Square and noticed that the Pizzeria on Post and Jones was finally opened. A lady flagged us down and recommended that we go in as they were offering half off on their menu and we graciously accepted. We love to support small local businesses and we were warmly greeted by what seemed to be the owners family members celebrating the opening of their restaurant. They offer a wide variety of choices ranging from pizza by the slice, burritos or even sandwhiches. Five stars for their enthusiasm towards their customers, hope that stays and good luck on their new endeavor. We picked up an XL Hawaiian and a plate of nachos and enjoyed every bite.

so i've been watching them build this place for a while now. every day me and the boy walk our corgies down post street and we've always been anticipating the opening of this restaurant.
i've never been so pleased with a pizza place before. this place has everything. so far ive had the alfredo pasta and the tacos and they have yet to dissapoint. the shrimp taco with avocado is amazing. especially with the mild sauce that comes with it. tacos start at 2.75, and they pile on all the good stuff :)
great little place. i cant wait till they open up the second floor dining area x3 -

Eh. After being open for almost two hours on a Sunday, 1/2 the menu 'wasn't available yet'. I'd much rather keep with my old standby Bellisimo. The pizza slices were just okay; the quesadilla I could've easily made in my own kitchen. I'll try again another day and hopefully up the stars.

This place is really great for a quick slice of pizza if you're in the neighborhood. It's probably not going to be the best you've ever had, but it hits the spot just fine. Also, it's interesting because this place does not have just pizza, but also stuff like burritos, tacos, pasta, burgers, etc.
For some reason the pizza they sell by the slice is a lot better than their mini pizza (a 7' personal pizza). I don't think they're the same kind....but since they're similar in size and price, I would just get the slice. Also I've tried their taco which is also pretty tasty.
The guy that served me remembered me after just one visit, so another thumbs up for friendly service.
