My new fave pho resto!  This family run pho provides great tasting food with fast and friendly service.

Their grilled chicken is simply succulent and the ribs are excellent! I've tried  their special beef and seafood pho and I can't just get enough of it. I like the fact that they're not "commercial".

Been back a number of times and haven't been disappointed yet...

I've been coming here for quite awhile because the food has been good, however they changed owners a year or so ago and while the food is still good, the service and kitchen are terrible. Case in point, today i ordered a pho soup and my friend ordered a chicken salad roll. While I got my bowl of soup within 10 minutes or ordering, her order did not come. About halfway through my soup, I asked the waitress where my friends' order was and she said she would check. While checking, she provided more food to other tables that came well after us and tables that came even 30 minutes later had all their food before us. What pissed me off the most however was the table beside us who ordered at least 20 minutes after us, got their chicken salad roll first and all their food before us. I mean how long does it take to make a chicken salad roll? All in all, we waited about 50 minutes for her rolls which is total BS. This is not the first time it has happened and if it not for the actual taste of the satay pho (which is awesome btw), I would not be going back here. I used to go at least once a week but since the new owners took over, I have only been going maybe once every few months now because the staff is so bad there. Rated two stars due to food which is excellent...

I had the beef brisket and tendon pho here a few times. The noodles were always cooked perfectly. Decent amount of meat. I find the broth ok, but compared to my favourite pho joint (http://www.yelp.ca/biz...), it's not as flavourful and too sweet. Also, the hot sauce and chilli oil here lack some serious heat - such a bummer.

Tucked in between a Greek restaurant and a Sukiyaki restaurant, Pho Tan is not that noticable when you drive by.  It looks tiny from the outside, but they have about 12-14 tables inside.  The servers were friendly and the food came out fairly quick.

For 2 people, we each ordered a bowl of pho and shared a Vietnamese sub.  The broth was piping hot and flavorful.  The noodles were cooked perfectly, -not too soft.  The rare beef was rare and sat on top of our steaming bowl of noodles.  It was a very satisfying bowl after a hard workout.

The sub had marinated pork with pickled carrots and radish.  The bread was crunchy and toasted.  There was enough sauce and meat in the sub that it had the perfect balance of salty with a hint of sour and sweet.  I usually eat my bowl of pho and nibble on the sub, but this time, I couldn't even put down the sub without finishing it!

I am definitely coming back and am glad we decided to walk in.
