Fresh Food, Good Service, Fair priced..There isn't many places in this part of Richmond that you can say that about!

I have been meaning to try this place out since the day that we noticed that they were under construction. The Red Mirchii's vacated this large place and opened up two doors down. In it's place is now the Pho Boi.
LCD TV's on every corner promoting their food or on a sports channel.
It's busy at lunch and the menu is simple and effective.
As is the food. Tasty, simple and effective and I had a cheap meal that was enjoyed with enthusiasm and thankfull tastebuds.
My first meal ordered here was the spicy noodle soup. A medly of meats, thick rice noodles and spicy lemon grassy clear soupbase.
The service was nice and the waitress even addressed me as "Sir"!
Pretty neat huh? I felt like I was a wanted guest here.
I'll be back to try some more.Listed in: What the Pho?

Found this place completely by accident. I had no idea there was even a strip mall here. This is on the SW corner of No.5 and Cambie, on the No.5 side (not the Shoppers side).
Parking is ample here, as nobody knows the mall exists. One thing to note: there is a nasty ramp on the S side of the lot. You can see all the scrape marks on the asphalt from the bottoms of other people's cars. Use the NE entrance ramp instead.
The staff were very friendly, and came up to chat with my friend and I. Turns out they opened just 2 weeks ago!
According to the website, there is a location in Nanaimo as well. As of the time of writing, this is a 2-store chain.
Everything here is shockingly upscale and clean. Maybe it's just because they're new, but everything is nice and neatly organized, from the front counter to the chopsticks/spoons/hot sauce. There are also some projectors and large cinema-type screens. I'm guessing they do karaoke once in a while.
Chicken wings - 5 decent-sized drumsticks, with delicious crispy batter. Served with red sauce that tasted like a mix between ketchup and cocktail sauce.
Hot and sour seafood soup - looks like they went easy on the MSG, as this tasted very more tom yum (Thai) than Vietnamese. Very heavy on the lemon grass, which I am a sucker for. Lots of prawns, fish balls, and imitation crab.
Vegetarian vermicelli - fresh chopped vegetables (such as broccoli and cauliflower) with tofu. Really good dipping sauce, which looked like soy but was very tangy. Reminded me of balsamic vinegar.
All of the above came to about $20, so the pricing wasn't bad at all.

Review from Rahel B.
Richmond, BC
The up side: the pho is tasty, especially the spicy soup (S5). The service is good, and the food comes hot, and fast.
The down side: the tea could be warmer, and the hot and sour (S2) was a little bland.
Overall, we're impressed and this has become our new favorite place. -
