YUM
Fortune. Fate. Pho.
We were driving by and looking for somewhere to eat on Kingsway. My Yelp bookmarks led me to a Vietnamese place that was closed, but this was open! So we decided to give it a try.
As often happens, my honey and I ordered the same thing. Chicken, shredded pork, and a Vietnamese roll on vermicelli. It was served quickly and hot. The smell as it was placed in front of me was AMAZING, I was eager to dig in. I finished every single thing in this bowl and almost licked the bowl clean.
Check out my meal and tell me if that doesn't look absolutely delicious....

They have a nice selection of drinks as well. I went for the Vietnamese coffee with milk. My honey went for the sour plum soda.
We will definitely return.Listed in: 365-Day Challenge - Review A…, Healthier Choices

I've been spoiled by Thuan An; could've been an off-day but I wouldn't come back here for the foreseeable future.
Ordered the lemon grass chicken since he recommended this, though it was a huge portion, it was clearly overcooked, thus dry. Lots of veggies, vermicelli noodles.
And iced coffee, no way worth $3.50; but at least it came w/ a straw lol (Thuan An surprisingly doesn't) -

I always wonder how this places survives, as every time I come by, the place is 100% deserted. Okay, I take that back. Today we saw 1 other take-out customer. The guy behind the counter looked super-happy to see us when we came in. I don't blame him if he's been idling away for the last 6 hours.
Parking is available on the street out front at night. Not much competition here.
Today we came in for Vietnamese coffees. Can't get enough of these things. They were served with quite a bit of condensed milk, which made them a bit *too* sweet.
The washrooms didn't smell, but they were kinda gross. The urinal flusher didn't even work, but I didn't want to tell the guy.
As I didn't eat here today, I can't comment on the food. One thing that IS surprising about this place is the fact they accept both Visa and MasterCard. Don't see that too often. -

I love Pho to me it is my go to comfort food when I am feeling down Pho, when I am feeling up Pho. So when I was taken here last year on a date, failed date mind you I was smittened not by the date but by the Pho. My date was born in Vietnam and we drove 30 minutes to get there so I had a idea it was great.
I returned recently with a couple of friends in hope of showing off my pho detection skills and was hoping I would not be disappointed and was not. It was spectacular big cheap great broth, tons of noodles. And i of course ordered rare beef with brisket. I also ordered extra tripe and tendons because that is what to me is the icing on the pho cake.
For me it is the best Pho in town and I have tried many. I am sure there are better ones, but so far to me this is the pinnacle of soupiness. We also had the crispy pork skin rolls and WOW just WOW.
The decor is 80's porn, and it is fun to spot the other odd decor. The staff is friendly and helpful to the new to Vietnamese food visitors. Do yourself a pho favor and eat here. Also have the iced coffee to top of your day. -

Just an update, they have replaced the awning to say 'Pho An' and I think it's under new management as well. I'll find out next week.
