hehehehe!  I came here about 4 or 5 years ago on a trip to Toronto.  I had such a good time here that I don't remember  a lot of the night.  I remember a very friendly bartender who blew my mind when he told me that the canadian 2 dollar coins were called tooneys and 1 dollar coins are looneys.  I remember pitchers of beer, martini's and some green shots.  I remember all of my guy friends spending the entire night playing a boxing/punching bag game.

Most importantly I remember my keep sake, the Dj gave me and my two girl friends free underwear.  Red american apparel boy shorts that said Nasty girl on the butt!  Ridiculous and oh so funny!!  Even more ridiculous and even more funny was my friends putting them on over their skirts and walking around the streets of Toronto like that.  The next morning when we were checking out of our hotel we overheard a group of guys saying "hey, those are the girls with the underwear last night!"  Ha!!  The philthiest of times!!

You know as much as I want to give this place 5 stars because of it's properly prepared drinks and beautiful bartendress' I just can't bring myself to do so after my last visit: which wasn't bad... just boring.

The atmosphere is always dark which is not necessarily a bad thing but I can't give you an honest review of the places cleanliness. But the space is still nice.

It's a little too dance club-esque for me but still a nice place to stop in.

Hit it up! Watch out for those hand dryers in the washroom though they're like mini-jet engines: they'll blow you right up against the opposing wall!

The Philthy's on King has done has had as many name changes as growing pains.  Formerly the Peel Pub, my first introduction to this place years ago was a guy being dragged out vomiting.  Since then, it's gone under a renovation and a name change to Philthy McNasty's.  It appears to have found its way since the days of closure due to liquor license violations and has become a downtown place for a quick cheap meal, and a place to watch, well, whatever game you want.

It's a sports bar with many TV screens and a decent staff.  The food is what you'd expect from a slightly franchised restaurant, the beer list is a decent size, though for whatever reason always tastes like something's happened to it in the pouring.

One drawback is that even with all the television sets, because it's downstairs and basically a concrete bunker, you tend to get a loud amount of echo and reverb from loud conversations, music, and the soft gurgle of the Leafs choking.  Decent enough place, but I wouldn't, like others I see who are not me, line up for it.

Whenever I am visiting my fiancee and feel a little homesick, all I need to do is wander into any Philthys'. They are setup exactly like the sports bars in my Hometown. TV's everywhere playing various sporting events. Large selection of food on the menu that mixes well with the alcohol served. Decent eye candy behind the bar and walking around, and mini TVs at the tables.  With the exception of Soups & Salads and Nachos. I've tried at least 1 item from most of their categories and I've figured out that this place is decent with the burgers, good with the sandwiches, alright with the pizzas, average with the wings, and sub-par on the pastas. I tried 2 separate pasta dishes and each time the meal was a let down.  Also the times I've eaten here the Funnel Cake has been  unavailable. It's one of the first menus I have ever seen with that option as a dessert and I have yet to be able to try it. Oh well, maybe someday.
