This is the best pizza in Halifax, Hands down!! I'm from Glace Bay, Cape Breton, and in Glace Bay we have the best pizza in the world, seriously! Don't argue with me, we do!

Peter's pizza is so close to Glace Bay Pizza I'll have to add it to the best pizza in the world category.

I rarely get pizza in Halifax, and when I do, I don't overly enjoy it. But, I do when I get it from Peter's!! It's all in the crust and the sauce. Yum, Yum, Yummy!!

Get Peter's special. Piles of pepperoni, bacon, onion, mushroom and green peppers! You won't be disappointed, and if you are... I don't think I can like you.

The only downfall is that it's located downtown, and not in Clayton Park, so I don't get it as much as I would otherwise.... actually, that might be a good thing!

I'm really not a daytime pizza person. Of course, I'm more of a half a bottle of wine in, pizza corner, kind of girl. Hello trans fat and carbohydrates before bed, nice doing business with ya. This was again, another football Sunday or as I like to call them 'too hungover to cook' Sunday's. I live close by Peter's Pizzeria and I just have to tell you right off the bat that the tree inside is REAL! I touched it. Pretty cool. Also got a pretty cool look from the dude working the counter.

I heard from a friend that Peter made a good slice, so I figured why not. The somewhat hilarious and inconvenient part is that I cannot for the life of me find them online. Peter isn't exactly internet friendly.  We walked in and were immediately greeted by the 16 year old behind the counter. Since we were having a hard time trying to figure out the menu, we had to ask the little dude where the deals were. It could've been that we were hungover or it could've been that there was a humungous amount of options. Either or we ended up getting the 16" and garlic fingers for like 30 bones. Certainly not cheap, but average. 20 minutes later we were stuffing our face while Manning threw some touchdown passes. The pizza was yummy but the garlic fingers were even better.

I would recommend doing take out from Peter's just because there is limited seating and in the summer that real tree attracts the bugs. Unless of course you're into extra wee size protein bits landing on your slice. I'd probably pop on over to Peter's again, based purely on the fact that it is so convenient for me. Next time, 100% garlic fingers though. Or at least 80:20.

So here is my favourite pizza in Halifax. If I said that in previous Yelp entries or any of my blogs, I take it back because I reacquainted myself the magic from Peter's.

Pizza has to tick a lot of boxes for me to claim it as my all time favourite and so:

Crust - firm and substantial; not crispy; perfect consistency

Sauce - rich and flavourful; not spicy; ladled on evenly with appropriate surface spread

Cheese - plentiful!; cooked to golden brown and stringy

My favourite is the Peter's Special which includes the usual deluxe array of toppings plus some others that I can't remember because it's so hard to examine food when you're shoving it in your mouth. But perhaps my favourite part about ordering from Peter's is the doughball you'll get on the larger pizzas. A ball of fried dough with donair sauce? It's the feast of kings.

I live close to Peter's Pizzeria and we often order from them for dinner.  I can't think of anything to dislike about this pizza and the GARLIC option keeps me coming back over any other pizza in Halifax.  If you haven't tried the fresh garlic topping I absolutely recommend it!! As a garlic lover this is my favorite pizza in town.

Peter's Pizzeria serves up a great pizza. It is a family owned business that put the effort into the food here.

This is your traditional pizza, thick and juicy with lots of cheese. If that tickles the taste buds , then you will be happy here.

The exterior is not much but they make a great pizza.

Unable to face the notion of cooking for ourselves last Sunday, Mark and I opted to order from Peter's Pizzeria instead off a friends recommendation.

My first impression was one of 'I'm going to like these people,' even as we walked in. A massive rubber plant has been accommodated in the corner of the shop as it has slowly outgrown its nook over the years. More recently, someone has lovingly placed bolts in the ceiling and suspended the branches so that they dangle tropically overhead. Instant appeal that's for sure.

We opted for a special on two mediums and were super impressed! Lunchtime leftovers throughout the week as well as some pretty tasty 'za hot out of the oven. We'll be back to Peter's that's a for sure!

This is a man's pizza. It is thick basic and well done. The family who run the place are friendly. I have not had a single bad pizza. This is quite a feat as I am easily ticked off about shoddy service or food and this place has not let me down once in many dozen pizzas. The price is slightly higher than the nearby chain pizza places but oh man the pies are good. If you like thin crust gourmet then this is the exact wrong place but if you are hungry and don't want chemical poisoning then this is heaven.
