I love Art - I must check this Art Galley out - sounds very friendly and not pushy and seems to support local artists - I love that.

I was very impressed with the friendly service of the art dealer here. She was amiable and answered all my questions with an easy manner. I explained I didn't know too much about the art scene, but she didn't judge me by that, saying it was completely normal for non-artsy people to wander into the gallery.
The current exhibit is by local artist Carolyn Campbell. Her works in this exhibit are mostly acrylics on canvas, mixed with ink or graphite. They will be featuring Toronto artist Robert Marchessault next week, with the opening reception this Saturday. I was allowed to browse the back room where they store other works, including the new pieces to be displayed soon. I liked Marchessault's style, as he focused more on landscapes.
I liked that I wasn't pressured to buy any art, and that it was okay just to look and appreciate it. The Peter Robertson Gallery has great service for art-buyers and non-buyers alike.
