I've shopped here for both cat and tropical fish supplies and have consistently happy with the selection and quality of products here. I have some tropical fish from here that have been alive for years as well as gorgeous aquarium decor. High-end cat food as well, including a hypoallergenic diet that my cat needs for his kidney problems. I wish it were closer to where I live but it's always a fun place to visit.
I must add that all the cats for adoption here are rescues. Normally I won't shop at a pet store that sells cats or dogs (like PJ's...) but Petcetera is the exception because these animals don't come from mills. -

Their reptile and fish selection sucks. I guess if you only go there for dog and cat stuff you'll be fine though.

Well I guess it depends on which one you go to but if you need Fish and what not head to the one on 17st, stay clear from the one near Millwoods town center. They have nothing. They do have safe team there that deals with shelterless cats but even that organization is sketchy, I dealt with them in the past helped out and well do not feel that they look out for the interest of the anmimal but only the owners themselves. Just a heads up.

I don't know why I attempted to come back to this store. I guess I was feeling lazy and didn't want to go all the way to petsmart.
Now, not only is the selection total crap, but the staff are clueless. I went in looking for something called "greenies pill pockets." They are little treats with holes in them so you can stuff pills into them and your dog is tricked into thinking it is a treat. They really are a godsend.
Anyways, I went into petcetera, browsed their treat department, browsed their medical department and nothing. I went and asked an employee and he shook his head as if I just asked him the most outrageous question ever. I ended up having to explain what I was asking for, and he responded by saying "wow, that's a good idea. Someone should come up with that!"
Hmm yea. Thanks buddy.
I won't bother going back. It really is a waste of time1 Previous Review: Show all »

OK. I volunteer for SAFE Team (Saving Animals From Euthanasia) and all the cats and kittens kept here are all rescues that have either been abandoned by there owners, found on the street, or some terrible person decided to put these kittens in a box and leave them in a dumpster out back. They are all spayed and fixed up by the vet if they are sick, and most of them have been sent to live in wonderful homes. New kittens and cats usually showing up and always looking for a new home! If you are considering rescuing a new family member this is a wonderful place to go and check out :)
