I checked this place out as part my quest for a reptile for my kids!
This shop is (literally) a hidden gem in Brentwood town mall. it's located in far end of the mall, so you need to ask the information desk to find it, or follow your heart if you're a pet lover (it's next to The Bay)
This small shop, magically, has all sort of pets. From kittens, fishes, baby crab, lobster, geckos, plus they are willing to get you anything you fancy buying as a pet.
The shopkeeper was well informed about pets and how to take care of them. So she has good answers to all our what? Where? And how to? questions. So we felt that we're learning while you were shopping.
The prices seems reasonable too, well at least to compared to the shops I checked so far. However, I thought the shop needs some work on the layout and organize pets in a better way, because we stumbled upon different species only by chance! but this does not change the fact that this place is clear-cut 4 stars for me! -

Christmas is the time for giving to everyone...big and small..loved or tolerated..not furry or furry...
My little bundle of love, Gromit, is more then likely the most spoiled cat ever..and she deserves all the love and affection she gets..just meet her once and you will understand..anyway...we stopped into Pet Habitat to look for some new toys and cat nip..she's an addict..and we were distracted by all the puppy apparel...we don't have a dog just yet but are thinking about adopting in the new year...the little outfits are sooo friggin' cute...and the toys now are days are not as lame as they used to be...some are quite cool and stylish for the more modern pet owner.
We were looking at these big bags of pet pads for house training and a lovely associate came over to tell us about them..she told us all the different brands, sizes..what types are for certain breeds...she was like a connaisseur of puppy pads..who knew there was so much to puppy pee pads?? She was incredibly helpful and we now know all the ins and outs..mostly the outs:)... of the puppy pad world and what we need to buy in the future...
I still didn't get anything for that fat fuzzy daughter of mine though...better make another trip back soon! -

Great place that you can find most stuffs there. Staffs are willing to help. Lots of fresh water fish, Allow to do water test for you. Lots of puppies and catty, you can even order the speacial ones that u want, but compare to other local stores, this one is over price for puppies and cats. However, they ganrentees the blood, health etc. so for first time newbie is good to go buy.

Established in 1978
Pet Habitat is a chain of 6 stores in the Metro Vancouver Area. Pet Habitat Brentwood was originally opened in 1990, and was taken over by Tom Peters in 1999. Tom was the corporate manager of the Pet Habitat Chain from 1989 to 1999, when it took control of this individual location.
Tom came from a background of breeding brids, and has a passion for all of these exotic creatures.
