Oh. My. God. This place is to DIE for. Even though it's not my style of décor, I still love every single item for sale in this store. There are fluffy pillows and silk throws, gleaming chandeliers and stunning silver candlesticks, glass wear and mirrored chests, candles and sparkling boxes.
I would describe the style here as "eclectic modern girl" and this boutique is full to the brim, bursting with pretty girlie goodies to beautify your home. There is an upstairs as well as a downstairs and they also sell furniture including sofas and super cool chairs, as well as lamps.
Most of the big stuff in Peridot is expensive, but you're bound to find a little candle holder or incense burner to fit your budget that you can stick in a corner and marvel at it's elegant beauty. -

Love this place ... I wandered in by accident one day, and spent a blissful half-hour browsing both floors of delightful and unique items. The potential for gift-buying cannot be overstated, as there is such a wide range, from small hostess-type gifts, to bigger birthday/housewarming items, to even special splurge-and-spoil-myself-with-something-completely -fabulous treats.
I was "just looking," but after an extended flirtation with soy candles in divinely decorated glasses, I committed to a charming hors d'oeuvre utensil set, with wound wire and crystals on the cutie little handles. Because even cheddar & wheat thins taste better when presented with adorable utensils ... I'll definitely keep this place on my list to check back when gift-giving times roll around.Listed in: April "Underdog" Challenge

Peridot is a hideaway of loveliness tucked just off Granville Street. This store carries an array of prettiness including decorative pillows, some vintage-looking dishes and serving ware, and other home accessories such as throws, vanity mirrors and lots of other goodies to dress up your home. The emphasis here is on quality and uniqueness, so, although much of what they carry comes with a significant price tag, it is a good place to stop into if you are a fan of the shabby chic aesthetic.
