Review from Lara P.
Thank you Rozy for saving my eyebrows. I am so glad you are in my work building. Quick but thorough my brows have never looked so well groomed. For $9, I am very happy to come here each and every time. Great deal for downtown core. Come one and all but not in the afternoon ok?

I used to like this salon because the prices are good and the first hairstylist I had when I went to this salon was AMAZING! However, I have been there a few times after that and the hairstylists I had afterwards were rude ( they talk on the phone while cutting my hair) and when I asked about the first stylist I had, I didn't get an answer.
The last hairstylist I had was EXTREMELY RUDE and this is why I am writing this review because I had it with this salon. She has POOR customer service skills, first she talks on the phone while working on my hair and then criticizes my hair and says I use BAD shampoo and that my hair is extremely dry, which is fine (BECAUSE ALL CURLY HAIR IS NATURALLY DRY, WHICH AS A HAIRSTYLIST SHOULD KNOW AND SHOULD NOT SAY WHY IS YOUR HAIR SO DAMN DRY, MIND YOU I HAVE CURLY HAIR AND IT WAS A VERY HUMID DAY, SO MY HAIR WAS FRIZZIER THAN USUAL) but she was repeating "Why is your hair soo dry?" about 3 times in a rude tone and she making ugly faces and was looking all grossed out as if my hair is dirty and diseased (which it is not, I wash regularly) .
What made it worse was that she was speaking in another language to the waxing esthetician who was there. I speak another language as well, and I think this is EXTREMELY rude to speak another language in front of people who do not understand. I REALLY should have walked out without paying. I will NEVER go back and I do not recommend anyone to go to Perfect Threading especially at the University location. This is very UNPROFESSIONAL!! This particular hairstylist needs learn about PROFESSIONALISM. For this reason I will NOT GO BACK and I have told all my friends about this and they will not go back either. -

The threading services are variable in terms of price and quality ranges from good to great. And it's an okay, no frills place with immediate service for walk-ins.
I'm not entirely thrilled by the expansive windows that look out onto University Ave. They always keep the blinds open so passerby can see the clientele sprawled out in chairs getting face/hair services.
But you can't beat location and walk-in services. A-Ok it is. -

Patchy describes the service and the result of waxing.
This is really close to work for me and not too far from where I live. I've been twice. First time I had underarms waxed and it was by the same woman who threaded my eyebrows in the Dundas location. It was quick and painless and she was friendly.
The second time I decided on underarms and bikini and had a different younger girl. Not so friendly and the bikini wax was poor. Patchy and she left a bit of tissue paper behind. I felt like walking into the nearest salon for a redo. She also had a very odd technique-she liked to cool the wax by blowing on it....on my skin. It's just a little unsettling to have a stranger blow on your bikini line. I struggled to suppress the uncomfortable giggles!
They have 20% off waxing on Tuesdays which is good but I'll be limiting myself to underarms in future!Listed in: Pampering and preening

Review from Joanne W.
I was in desperate need to get my eyebrows done, and the usual place that I go to closes early at 5:00 PM or so. Considering that I work downtown from 9-5, there was no way that I was going to be able to make it back uptown to make it before closing time.
So, I was searching on yelp for new places to go to. Surprisingly, there was one place that's down the street from where I work (located on Dundas)! So I went to the website for Perfect Threading, and they recently opened a new location - literally right next door to my work place! So I went after work. The location is tucked away in the shopping concourse at 700 University. I went in, and they quickly took me in - there wasn't many people there.
The woman wasn't the best at quickly threading. It was quite painful! She should've been fast and quick. However, it seemed like it was taking forever. However, the shape of my eyebrows is great!
Cost about $8.40 - not including tip. They also give you this card where you get 9 eyebrow threads, and get the last for free. -

This place is also very close to where I work. The other place I go to for threading is very far and inconvenient. I walked in, they took me right away. They did the job well and it was a very good price. I am glad that another threading place is closer to downtown. I only know it for the threading service and I am not sure about their other services. I will definitely go back to take care of my threading needs.

Stopped by here to get my eyebrows shaped properly. After several attempts with waxing, I wanted to have a cleaner look, and that is what led me to this salon. Walking distance from the University of Toronto, the place is conveniently located close to the corner or University and College Streets. Affordable, clean location, I recommended it to anyone nearby looking to get their brows looking good.
