So after tasting many others in the area, and finding more miss than hit, we were lucky enough to get in and try Pentage. Wow!
We spend well over an hour there with a private tour of their grounds, vineyards, the new facility going in, the wine cave, and the barrel rooms. We tried multiple wines directly from the barrels or stainless, and were surprised by most all of them. Well balanced throughout!! On top of all this, their pricing surprised us all. Not only are they one of the best wineries in the area, but their price points are quite low in comparison.
I can't say anything about the tasting room, cause it's still under construction, but the winemaker himself gave us the tour and was very gracious and nice. Price points vs. quality are excellent!!
If you're up in the area, you must call ahead for an appointment....and if it works out, stop and try!!
