We made last minute plans to go to Whistler over the holiday weekend so what wasn't sold out was going at $600 a night. We decide to stay in Pemberton Valley Lodge hoping the it really was only 20 min away from the slopes like it said. Not only was it only 20 minutes on a very well maintained road, it was very well priced at $150/night, full kitchenette, dog friendly, free dvd library, pool, and free garage parking. The modest accommodations are nice and clean with thoughtful touches and nice customer service. We will come back to Pemberton Valley Lodge in the future. The extra gas to commute to the slopes plus $10 for day use parking still saved us money from paying overnight parking for at a village hotel.

To avoid the over priced accommodation in Whistler, I stumbled across this place. Four of us stayed in their 1-bdrm suite, which is very impressive. Full kitchen including everything you need, and even a dishwasher and washer/dryer! Upon arrival they had free hot apple cider, and being xmas, had a bag of home made cookies in the room. Big pool, and nice hot tub. If you are looking to visit Whistler, but don't want to pay top dollar check out this place.
