If you're meandering along the Boardwalk, in "downtown Ganges", you will find yourself in the Old Mouat's building, at seaside, & you'll discover this amazing gallery. A significant display of First Nations art & artifacts, plus a selection of established & newly discovered Canadian Artists...very helpful owner/staff, always willing to discuss the artists represented here...a very eclectic mix, of both the renowned (including Group of Seven) & the soon to be known. At a different location, Pegasus also offers quality framing & shipping. Appraisals of your holdings are also offered. Lucky Islanders, to know that this significant gallery is in our midst...see you at the next opening!

On a Wednesday, the owner says we can bring in a painting to be appraised on Saturday. We travel from Seattle to Salt Spring Island (not cheap when you ferry a car over from the US and get a hotel room) and show up only to find out he's suddenly left for parts unknown without bothering to tell us.
Total waste of time and money. Even if these guys are the only oes who have dealt with the obscure painter whose picture we have, they are not getting our business.
