Really like the bubble tea here.  This is my go-to place to meet with friends for a long talk late into the night-and I love that the bubble tea doesn't melt fast like other places (like Bubble World...where it comes half melted already) so I can sit and talk and enjoy myself without worrying about my drink melting within 10 minutes.  I always order the taro slush with coconut jelly and it isn't too overly sweet, which is good.

Haven't tried much of the food menu here except for the ma po dofu which is very generously sized (enough for 2 meals!) and very well priced.  I love that they sprinkle a bunch of pepper on top.  Another friend got the red bean pastries and they were flaky and not greasy like I expected them to be.

Much quieter than other bubble tea places I've been to and less crowded.

Parking in the lot is a pain, it's usually full and very tight.  But you can usually find street parking around the corner very easily.

Decent bbt place that's close to home. They have the typical BBT and taiwanese food selections with decent prices and street parking, nothing that really stands out except they have whiskey and heinecken flavored BBT (just tastes like it, no or minimum alcohol content), and they serve beer. Service is.. well.. like most BBT places, ok but sometimes non existent. I only like to come here because they take Visa/Debit/MC (unlike most BBT places that are cash or debit only).

As this place is not my 'hood, I honestly had no idea at all what to expect.  All I was told was that it was "like Bubble World, but with older people".  Sure enough, this was the case.  So there were no screaming highschoolers or undergrads.  Sweet.

Parking is a bit cramped, as there are only a few spots out back.  The side streets are also packed, but there is sufficient turnover.

The inside definitely doesn't look tween-themed.  It is a bit classier than Bubble World for sure, right down to the decor and the music.

I had the Strawberry Milk Tea (my benchmark) and Salty Peppery Chicken (also my benchmark).  The drink was actually one of the closest to my benchmark (a certain shop in Taipei), which is worth a mention.  Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the chicken.  It was missing something.  Possibly more spice, or more MSG.

With that said, the ambience is definitely a plus here.  I will be back to try some of the other dishes.

This is another typical BBT place you can find so easily in Vancouver/Burnaby/Richmond. Despite some of my friends put in a good word for it, I feel nothing special about it. Since it is in my neighborhood, closest to my place, I have visited this place for few times even though there are plenty of other BBT places around (Estea, The One, Bubble World, etc.)

I like their combo that you can mix-and-match few entrees, appetizers and drinks for a fixed price, and the portions are always sufficient for a good lunch or dinner. I usually order the salty chicken nuggets noodles (i like the thick noodles, its $0.50 extra though), or the beef noodles with half flank and half brisket (?). The pig ears are also pretty good there. Drinks-wise, I like my honey green milk tea with pudding, with the usual powder and no complaints.

The ambiance is pretty nice, not as noisy as Bubble World and The One for sure. It gets busy around dinner time, families pouring in, so make sure you go early or later as families tend to..enjoy their sweet time. Parking is limited at the back and on the side streets, but if you don't mind walking, there are plenty of spots a block down by the apartments and houses.

This is one of the few BBT places that accept debit cards, not sure about credit cards, so yay! I don't like to carry cash around so this is a big plus for me!

    No soup for you!

I was in a rush so went for a Taiwanese staple: beef noodle soup. Something that they should be able to through together quickly right? Nope.

Gf got her food and slowly finished it all before I finally got my soup, despite me asking several times wtf my food was.

The beef was tough, broth no flavour, and noodles had weird texture.

BBT was your typical powdered concoction.

    No thanks.

I will not order their Beef Sirloin Noodles (or clear noodles) ever again. It is very greasy and you can see the oil floats on top. The portion is so little & not filling at all. You have to order double if you have a good appetite. The seats are not comfortable because they are so close that you can hear next table's conversation. I find it disturbing. Overall very disappointed.

This review is only for shave ice! (that's what I have tried so far)
Love it! Huge portion, ok price. Many topping to choose from.
Can't find anywhere else to compete with it.

Pearl house...thank you for saving me $1500.  Your shaved ice here was excellent as I remember it in Taiwan.  Portions were huge and made up for the mediocre bubbletea that u served.  We got the almond milk bubbletea which was gritty, the brandy milk tea...which was just a do not ever order again...and the beloved shaved ice with assorted bean, taro, pudding (blah!), and taro balls....your ratings went from a two to a four...just from this one item alone.  Thank god your business isn't just bubbletea or you would have one pretty bad review.

Hope to see u again soon and for all those who are reading this and going for shaved ice....I'm envious to pieces that I don't live in Vancouver right about now :(

this rating is only for their cold beverages (perhaps desserts too): certainly A-OK !

Slush was alright, no surprises. Assam milk tea was pretty good actually, but not a fan of their pearl (no flavor). Not worth for having it to go (take out order) but make sure you ask for no ice or less ice if you really want one. Tofu dessert (not sweeten enough) and Red Bean soup (way too sweet) are the 2 items that I won't recommend u to try.

Lesson I learned: Deep Fried Chicken on Rice ALLLLLLLLLLLLL THE WAY! (and shaved ice dessert during summer!)

Went here multiple times, portion is always BIG, I think one of the times my boyfriend ordered a Mah Po Tofu and he couldn't finish. The amount I eat is comparable to a guy's and I always feel very bloated after eating here. Food tastes good :)

3.5 stars. The best bubble tea cafe in the area that I have been since moving here a couple months ago. Prices are reasonable and we have always been able to find parking spots. Decor is starting to show its age but nothing to complain about.

This is our favourite dining out place. Their house special beef noodle is heavenly. The Taiwanese fried vermicelli is tasty. The concoctions of teas, slushies and drinks are generously portioned and well-made. Prices are very reasonable. Best of all, their servers always carry a warm smile.

i've been here a couple times over the past 2-3 years, i'm from seattle by the way. i believe this is the spot where we once ordered 10 drinks and got 1 free to kill our thirsty friend. anyways, this spot is pretty good for bubble tea. i like to try to new flavors and their hot drink hit the spot. i believe i ordered some hot special milk tea to try to kill my dead voice, which it helped just a little..but anyways I BELIEVE I SAW CUTE TWINS MAKING BUBBLE TEA or maybe my fucked up voice somehow fucked up my vision. i'll make sure in couple more months.
