Ok, so Patrino's totally rocks. I've been to the lounge area AND the dining room area multiple times, and this place has THE BEST prime rib I've ever had.
In the summer when I was mountain biking (well, um, techinically, all the way 'till October 31st), I'd walk there right after mountain biking either at the Nordic Centre or on the unpaved road right beside it, and I'd get a prime rib sandwich for $13. Yeah, I can't believe it either ! It's just on the pub menu, and it's basically a huge piece of prime rib with au jus on a piece of bread, delicious home cut fries and cooked veggies for $13. Like, how am I supposed to beat that? I can't buy raw prime rib for that price, and instead I'm getting it, with all the fixings, for that price. Wow. They'll even ask you how you want it, if you can believe that !!!
I've tried the steak sandwich too, and it's really good, and it's also $13 in the lounge. The other day, I went to the dining room area there with my friend from Calgary, and we both had prime rib...I think she really enjoyed it. We're weren't talking all that much when the food came if that's any indication. :) The prime rib also came with warm dinner rolls and butter.
I was going to say to my friend 'hey, don't fill up on bread, the meal is really awesome and filling'...but, hey, whatever. I've had the berry cheesecake lots of times there too...oooo, it's really good. I usually just say, um, I'll have the 'pink one', and they usually know what the heck I'm talking about.
The great thing about the lounge is that, I'd basically hop off my bike, and I'd still be eating within an hour window, according to the 'Livestrong' guide. No one ever said anything to me about checking my watch all the time...I hope some of the people that work there didn't think I was timing them. Anyway, all I know is that I was getting my food really fast, and I was eating right away. I never really waited. Sometimes it was so fast, it was like, 'what the heck, the food's here? Guess I blinked ?' :)
The second to last time I was there, with my friend, this really cute red head that works there was working. She's awesome. I couldn't help but leave a decent tip. Hey, I'm human and I have eyes, it's not my fault if I'm attracted to a nice woman. :)
Anyway, um yeah, back to the restaurant. I've heard the chef say that the lasagna is the best thing on the menu. I've had lots of prime rib there (gee, I wonder why?), steak sandwiches, and even the chicken kabobs. I've never tried the lasagna...I'm sure it's awesome, like everything else on the menu. It's just that, when you're at a place that has THE BEST prime rib I have ever had, it's tough to want to try something else.
Well, not everything is perfect about the restaurant, but the people that matter to me are nice, and the food is really good. 5 stars all the way. -

After a day of snowboarding, and a weekend of eating in not-so-good-but-expensive restaurants, Patrinos was a nice change, and a welcomed meal. My pasta was delicious, wait staff friendly enough, and the billiards were cheap.
If you're looking for a good, inexpensive meal, head to Patrinos. -

This restaurant was pretty empty when we went. There was a bar, a few pool tables, dart board, and general seating. We saw it on YELP, and the last review said it was pretty cheap. We didn't realize that cheap was like $20 per entrée. We ordered the DiMare (seafood) Linguini and their Spaghetti, which was pretty meaty. They do give hefty portions though, and we ended up not being able to finish.
