Lovely delicate food at a high price.  A simple breakfast - a tiny slip of a  croque monsieur and a drink - can easily top $20.  I left charmed but hungry.  I do have a terrible weakness for their macarons:  little meringue cookies sandwiched with lemon, pistachio, strawberry, or chocolate buttercream.  They're worth every penny.

I'm giving PP a 3, which doesn't necessarily reflect my opinion.

Why? Well, it depends on what you're going there for.

Are you going for pastries and a croissant? Then it's a 4. Possibly a 5, depending on what you order. The last time I had a croissant there, it was moist but flakey, buttery, warm - absolutely delicious.

Then what's the problem? Coffee's the problem, I tell ya.

Why? It sucks. I... well, let's just say that I like my coffee. In particular, I like espresso. Like a born-again-Italian, converts are often the biggest  zealots, and I am no different. To whit: an episode of Star Trek once had an alien baddie that referred to humans as "Ugly sacks of mostly water". In my case it would be an "Ugly sack of mostly coffee".  But, you know, without the ugly part. Bloody hell, I'm a nerd. What the hell was I talking about?

Oh yeah, the espresso. It sucks. Thin, no crema, no body, weak and with a few grounds inside. I've had it three times: for research purposes of course, and *definitely* not because it's close and I'm a true coffee slut who'll open my mouth for the black stuff as long as it's there and the price is right. Yeah.

But it's just not good. And the regular Coffee was nothing to write home about, either.

So for coffee, I would give a 1. Seriously, I mean business.
