Passport to Prana really is as good as it gets! At $30 for access to one class at an ever-expanding list of studios, even if you felt you were unlikely to attend more than three studios it would still be an amazing deal! The best part (for el cheapo me) is that the more yoga you do, the more value you get out of the card. After every class I like to calculate how much I've saved but figuring that each yoga visit has dropped from $15, to 10, 7.5, 6, 5...and so on.
Hooray for affordable yoga! -

This year Passport to Prana is getting better!!
Now it really has no set expiration day. It starts the day you activate your passport or renew your passport online!
Good for 12 months!! And you can visit studios on the list once every year.
I just want to thanks all the studios that participate!! You are the one that make Passport to Prana such a success!!Listed in: Yelp 30 Day Challenge October…

I love the passport. Its such an great way for different studios to get free feedback from people like us Yelpers and other folks that want to try different places.
It's such a great deal, for $30 you get one free class in every studio in greater Toronto. There are so many to choose from, you may not need to purchase regular classes - and it gives you the flexibility to join classes in different locations and times.
What I did, was that I found my favourite, and bought a regular class pass there, but use the passport to try other types of yoga.
It's such a steal as most classes cost $20 to go to.
If it wasn't for PP, I would have never gotten in yoga as much as I do now.
It doesn't get a 5 star review because there are so many things that can be done to improve it, and they just aren't doing it.
- send out newsletters or regular email updates when they have added studios to the mix (I hate having to go out and try and update my list of the places I've tried)
- create an actually user profile for each card, that will allow me to track my different classes
- provide some interface to look at all classes for a certain day at a glance to schedule. or partner with MindBodyOnline (at minimum) to provide this
- create an APP
I hope they will begin to add these features and make it even more better than it is!!Listed in: Thanks Yelp!

As a rookie, would I consider paying $15+ per session to put myself in a pose that I can't get out of? Would I feel value the next morning when it feels like I've been riding a saddle the previous day? I would have to say NO.
Passport to Prana($30.00 + Taxes) on the other hand gives me a taste of the sport of Yoga valid for ONLY one class at each participating studio for the low expense of roughly 2 sessions. However I'm pretty sure by the end of the expiry date, I will have attended a few more from the 60+ locations.
Who knows? Maybe I'll even become a permanent Yoga person/guy/thing for life at some point in time. No guarantees!Listed in: Yoga-licious

Passport to Prana is incredible.
This was my first year participating in PP and I cannot recommended it enough. I visited 13 studios or so for $30 and had a fantastic time exploring different styles of yoga in different neighborhoods around the GTA. I found out alot about my practice, my style, and It really opened my eyes to new styles that I was mostly unaware of before. Being able to see a wide variety of yoga communities, try a variety of classes really deepened my appreciation for yoga, which I am thankful for.
I moved to a new neighborhood, so It was nice to be able to try the studios around me before I committed to a class pass at one.
Love that you can renew your pass, and I will be doing so in May.
It is a fantastic value for the PP card holder, but also for the studios as well. I now will definitely be re-visiting studios that I found on my PP and bringing friends with me as well.
I do wish there was a way to search for "Vinyasa Tuesday" And be presented with studios and schedules that fit, but as a web professional I understand the logistics behind maintaining and co-ordinating all of the studios schedules and what a nightmare that would be. Yoga studios themselves generally have a hard enough time with keeping the sites maintained with current info, so i get it, although that would be a fantastic feature.
The website however, gives you a full list of participating studios with a link to their sites, and a Google Map API so you can see where they all are. They also send you an email after every class asking for feedback (which hopefully, in the end, goes to the studios.)
Zero complaints, only tremendous praise. Highly Recommended.Listed in: Best of the Best, Yoga Studios

(If I could give this pass 6 stars, believe me, I would.)
I really hope they don't discontinue selling this pass.
It falls in that category of 'too good to be true' but the only string being, you can only use the pass for once per studio each pass/year. So if you live in the downtown area, you can easily use it for up to approx. 20 studios without leaving your comfort zone. At pretty much $1 a class that's already 1/17th the price of a single class. The Toronto area opens up to include more than 55 studios.
So if you're facing a tight budget you can't blame your wallet to stay out of shape. No need to get a gym membership because once you find the studios you like, just grab a class pass or start a monthly deal. I tend to buy a few 5 or 10 class passes at several studios.
Time for another excuse, chubby.Listed in: Yoga Fire!

Thought I'd snag the FTR on Passport to Prana, which got a mention in Boston's Stuff magazine and is probably the best deal on the planet.
So, I was staring blankly at the Facebook homepage one day when this ad popped up-- something in the vein of unlimited yoga for $30. I clicked it, checked the site, and found that a handful of major US cities, Boston included, were participating. I could order a card online or purchase one at a participating studio, and it would give me one visit each to the studios listed on their site until the card's expiration in January 2011. FYI, there are currently 50 participating studios!
It was the perfect way to coerce a friend into trying yoga with me, and a great way for me to save some extra cash as my desire to practice yoga continues but my job doesn't always afford me the luxury.
I'm pretty mobile, and having a car, a job in Watertown, and family in the suburbs has made it not so hard to hit a handful of studios (I think I've done maybe 6 or 7 to date). I was even able to try a total body conditioning class, and met a few studios I really liked in the Cambridge/Somerville areas.
If you're unsure where you'll ultimately want to practice, or if you just want to try yoga on the cheap, grab a Passport! If you go to two studios, you've paid $15/class, which is a typical drop-in rate.Listed in: Passport to Prana

Whether you are new to yoga or have been practicing for years Passport to Prana is the best yoga deal in town.
Only really getting into a regular practice a couple of months ago, I have a lot to learn in terms of what I like, what I don't like, what works for me, what doesn't and the best way for me to do that was with Passport to Prana.
For just $30 you get access to over 30 studios in and around Toronto ( large majority of them in the downtown core). You have the chance to try each participating studio once. So far I have been to six different studios, which means that each class is only five dollars. It is a sweet deal, especially compared to the usual price of $10-$15. Plus the more classes you go to the cheaper each class ends up being.
Plus some places forget to tag your card so you get to go twice. Even better!
Everyone should be buying one of these puppies!
