Being new in town I've had a hard time finding a mechanic I feel totally comfortable with. Having worked as a mechanic myself many years ago, I know my way around a vehicle, however I like to play a bit dumb when bringing my car in for servicing -it's a way for me to determine if my trust is misplaced.
I found out about Parkside Motors from an acquaintance, who told me both she and her dad think they're great. The fact her dad is a retired mechanic gave me confidence.
They explained what was involved in the repair, and gave me a ballpark (within $20) idea how much it was going to cost. The fact it's very close to my work made it even more attractive --convenience and a measure of trust go a long way in book with a mechanic.
Drop off was easy and painless. When I picked up my vehicle, they went thru an itemized list of the parts replaced and work done. They used high quality parts and in watching the guys at work, they take care and pay attention --fender covers used, clean bays, friendly staff. I'm sold and will return for my next tune up and brake job.
