Review from Catherine D.
We came in on a Wednesday 3pm timeframe and there's a line. The service was so quick and efficient that even with a line, the wait wasn't long at all. Juicy yet crispy skinned roast pork for both the lean and the fatty version, equally juicy and delicious BBQ pork. The only downside is that you can't eat on the spot - no tables and chairs. So be prepare to hunt a spot if you're a visitor to BC like I am to slowly savor your food. Don't really like the roast duck but I'm fully satisfied with what I came for... the pork!!

I was recommended the dried pork sausages (lop cheong) here. I sliced them and made clay pot rice (bao zai fan) with pork sausage, chicken, ginger, and soy sauce; maybe we should've gone for the title track, the BBQ meat, because the sausage was not very salty/flavorful. That says to me that if I cooked it beside rice in a rice cooker, its savoriness would not seep much into the rice around it.

Creme de la creme for BBQ Pork and Roast Pork. Love how you can ask for whatever cut and however much you want.
Skin from Roast Pork is super crispy hours later. Holy smokes, even the fat was crispy on one of the pieces I ate. The meat is a bit too salty for my taste, so I like the BBQ Pork more.
A bit hard to find since it is hidden in the Parker Center, so you need to ask around if you are from out-of-town. -

Love the roast pork from here!
Battling high cholesterol means not getting to eat roast pork as often as I'd like. We ventured to Parker Place yesterday for an Easter Sunday treat. The counter is always busy but the butcher moves quickly with his knife.
On the left side of the small shop you'll find the BBQ/roast meat counter and on the right side is the raw meat butcher's counter. You hop into which ever line you'd like.
The roast pork has the best, most crunchy crispy skin ever and has an excellent meat to fat ratio. The butcher usually asks if you'd like a fattier cut since it yields a more crisp skin. Of course, that tends to be what we prefer.
Once again, the shop did not let me down. Excellent roast pork for dinner, just as I remembered it. Definitely worth a visit. -

Darcy brought home some roast pork. I ate it, it was good
HOWEVER, I do not know how people can eat this stuff all the time. It's too much fat. The skin is crunchy fat. I felt nauseous after, only because I never was a fan of pork anyway. It was good, but maybe for 3 bites.
Really, it's just a preference for me. I'd rather gnaw on carrots than pork fat. -

Right before we stopped for the "best wonton soup in Canada" at McNoodles, we had to make a quick stop for the "best roast pork this side of Hong Kong". My father in law is nothing if not a master of hyperbole, and when he finds something he enjoys it's always the best ever until the next best ever comes along. Suffice it to say, I take all of it with a grain of salt as it's usually great if not the be all end all, but jiminy cricket if he wasn't correct.
The roast pork here is as good as I've tasted, not sure exactly why but the skin is done exactly right and as noted by others, the meat to fat ratio is perfect. Even if you had no idea what it should be like, you'd know immediately that you were eating something special with every bite.
I'm sure they have other things, but there's probably no reason to try anything other than the crispy pork and the bbq pork.

The best place to buy your chicken dinner of fried pork. This is probably the BBQ in Vancouver hands down.
I would come here to also buy fresh pork bones for my wolf. She would love the pork femurs. She'd go crazy over them. Just ask the butcher for some bones to fed your dog and usually it's not more than 2 bucks. Awesome price! -

If you want really crispy/crunchy-skinned roast pork with your choice of fat / meat ratio on your roast pork and BBQ pork, go to this place. If you live outside of Richmond, it's worth the trip! Is it as good as the suckling pigs you had in a Chinese banquet reception? I would vote yes, depending on the restaurants but it's definitely better than Hon's and T&T's.
The best part is that the butcher does not yell at you or think you are an idiot if you order something out of his norm like many other Chinese butchers :)
If it weren't for our becoming more health conscious (only because of Allen's doctor's order), we would definitely have roast pork from Parker Place more on our dinner plates. However, it's worth it to run another few miles or lift a few more reps of bench press. -

Stopped by this place on chinese new year to find a line 20 deep out the door. Surprisingly overheard that this was a 'slow' day. Located in the middle of Aberdeen mall, one of the many in Richmond ('north west Hong Kong') BC, it's the home to your typical roast porks, BBQ pork, soy chicken (free range and standard), and many other cooked meat delights.
Along with the cocky Hong Kong vendor attitude came some of the most delightful roast pork containing juicy melt in the mouth meat and the crunchiest crackling skin this side of the Pacific. In fact, I'd be hard pressed to find this sort of quality even in asia.
A fast moving transaction is preferred and questions are not tolerated here so beware the rude butcher. Minus one star for that but the food quality is undeniable. -

I dunno, I think this place is as good as HK Master that everyone raves about as serving the best roast meats outside of HK. That claim is true. This is one vendor that dishes our roast pork with the crispiest skin you have ever tasted and you get a choice of lean of fatty pork. Their roast duck and free range chicken is seriously something to write home about. When I crave anything that's roasted, I dream of this place. And the best thing is my friend and I got to Richmond in 19 minutes from downtown Vancouver today to have this wicked lunch and was back in our respective offices in an hour. Thank you CANADA LINE!

Best Chinese BBQ place I have been to. The Siu Yok ( Roast Pork) is the best I have ever had. Whenever I drive up from SEA to Vancouver, I make sure to stop here. Everytime I have been here, the roast pork has consistently been great and fresh. The most tender and crunchiest skin I had of roast pork. The duck is pretty good here too, but really greasy.
I had good experiences with the butcher everytime. Even tho Im Chinese and dont even speak Chinese, he asks me what part of the roast pig I would like. Nice guy and quick butcher. -

Best Roasted Pork in Richmond/Vancouver area. Tried a lot of other places, including HK BBQ Master, but Parker Place Meat & BBQ is better if you like roasted pork. Decent price, worth the money. Go to BBQ Master if you want BBQ duck, come here for roasted Pork! Order out only and have to seat at the food court to eat.

hands down, the very BEST siu yuk (roast pork with the crispy skin) i've ever had ANYWHERE. seriously. sf, nyc, la, hk, seattle, ANY F*CKING WHERE. i'll put this siu yuk up against whatever you bring to battle for cash and see who sons who. i could prolly run through a pound of this by my damn self. skin is crispy, meat is flavorful with only a thin layer of delicious FAT. don't know where in the mall this place is? hint it's not at the food court, it's where the line 12 deep out the f*cking door at any given time is, oh and it's next to the seafood shop. even after it's cooled down, the skin still somehow remains extra crispy! never greasy with the PERFECT amount of saltiness. i wanna punch my own face it's so good. staff is fun to watch (that butcher knife cutting through 3 pork ribs like butta in one stroke on every stroke is some serious kung fu!) and super friendly. crackin' jokes with my kid about takin' their picture. service is fast and efficient (and yet there's still a line, that's how popular they are). they close earlier than the mall does so if you need to get your pork on *pause*, do that but hurry here for some siu yuk after. thank me later.
