I had recently taking my kitty Gilmour here for a weekend as I was away and the one that usually looks after him while I am unavailable was also unavailable that weekend.
After telling a few people about the situation, I was recommended Parker Pet's and I was very worried at first as I never had taken him to be boarded and I did not like the idea of him being caged up all weekend long.
Especially since he was a stray kitty I didn't want him to think I was never coming back for him, I told him before I dropped him off that I would be back and he settled in fine when he arrived.
Each kitty gets out of their cage for 20 minutes a day and also receives daily brushing. You can bring your own food, but they have food there. I brought my own as Gilmour is spoiled and can sometimes be fuzzy.
When I picked him up he seemed very happy and I could tell he was taking very good care of while I was away.
The only downfall I have is that very day when I picked him up I also took him for his check up and rabies shot as he was due, since he was already out. I decided to get everything done at once and that very day I found out he has diabetes...
This means Gilmour will never be able to come back to Parker's as they will not do injections.... It's very sad as I liked this place, but oh well, there is nothing I can do about it, maybe it is for the best.

Established in 1945
Beginning as a breeding kennel in the 1930's, the Parker family started boarding and grooming in 1945 to serve the needs of the growing city of Toronto. The second generation of Parkers took over in 1965 and grew the prominence and reputation of what is now a Toronto institution for dog and cat owners. Now operating in its third generation, Parker Pet Care has been a trusted name in pet care for over 60 years.
Meet the Manager: Andrew P.
Andrew is part of the third generation managing Parker Pet Care. Although he grew up around the business, Andrew has only been managing the North York branch since 2005, after completing a degree at Queen's University and working for 5 years as a child and youth counselor. Andrew manages the branch with Jo ann, who has been a familiar face to clients for 20 years with Parker Pet Care. Many clients associate Andrew with his three little dachshunds that are occasionally to be seen (or heard) barking away, as they like to do most of the time. Andrew enjoys traveling as much as many of his clients, and enjoys trading stories and comparing notes with regular clients when they return for their holidays abroad.
