Review from Rahil P.
Although this is a popular franchise for Koreans, this location marks the first time I had a shaved ice fruit bowl.
All of the other reviews rave about how yummy their pastry is. They are indeed good, but their shaved ice fruit bowl deserves praise. It's $10 for a large bowl, enough to fill 2 people well. The ingredients come in the bowl separately. We took a few bites. It was good. Then, we were advised from a wise Korean to mix everything. We took another bite. This time it was amazing. The fruits, shaved ice, ice cream, and red beans somehow create the perfect mixture to battle the summer hunger. If you've never had one before, I ensure you it's a great, unique experience. -

Apparently this Paris Baguette isn't interested in making money. I called them to try and order a custom Dohl cake for my son. Since I am planning on having the party on the east coast, I was told to call the local store to order the cake.
After speaking with the manager I was told that the only way that I can order a cake is to go in personally and look at their cake designs and put a down payment. When I told them that I lived in California and that I would not be able to go into the store, they would not even CONSIDER making a custom cake.
PARIS BAGUETTE - The whole point of a CUSTOM cake is that I can PERSONALIZE it to they way I envision it and you make it. MANY cake companies can produce cakes through just a couple of phone calls. Oh, and you could have billed me separately on my credit card for the down payment on the cake. I guess it sucks to be you since I would have been spending a good chunk of money on getting a nice cake for my son. -

this place is nice korean bakery. coffee is not bad. I went to the one in Flushing, and they have refillable coffee. their prices are more expensive compare to taipan bakery

Came here with a group of 7, which made it a bit difficult to find seats, but we managed. They have a lot of pastry selections, and everything seemed fresh. Service was good. I have no complaints with them. They handled the busy-ness and crowds fairly well.
We ordered the bing soo, which was good. I've had better, but they give you a lot of items (i.e. fruit, dduk/mochi, ice cream, etc.) My friend had to go back up to ask for some more syrup, but they did.
We also got the iced coffee, which my friend described as "crack," but I just found it to be too sweet. I can see how people would love it though because it's very creamy and sweet, but it's not really coffee... it's sweet milk with a bit of caffeine. ;)
It seems to be a popular place, and I can see why. -

I frequent Paris Baguette with my gf....They do have a large selection of pastries that she enjoys. Most of them are made well, hitting the right note of sweet enough and not overloading your taste buds with sugar. It's really a great spot to hit up with a friend or family to drink coffee and have some delicious pastries. I would definitely recommend trying a slice of their freshly made cakes as well. The light airy quality of their cake is a sure winner, and you can never go wrong bringing one home. I especially recommend the blueberry chiffon!
Some downsides to the place...
- my girlfriend was kicked out of Paris Baguette while she was waiting for me to come get her at this location so other customers could sit there, even though she had bought a coffee and some pastries and she had been sitting there for 30 minutes alone
- sometimes the pastry dough can be gummy and not quite flaky, and crispy
- even though the cakes are delicious, if you don't ask, you might not get the freshest one- -

Again very limited space to sit. But we found cushy chairs.
Again hot girls working here.
Coffee here is very bitter. -

Best bakery ever. All of the breads/cakes/pastries are super fresh and not too heavy or sweet. I haven't been to any other locations, but this location always has a good selection and is clean.
My favorite things are the curry croquette, pumpkin bun, potato and bacon pastry, and the cakes. The icing on the cakes is fluffy, light and not too sweet. The fruit they top them with is fresh. We always get one to celebrate family birthdays.
I heard they're opening one in Ktown NY. Can't wait! -

Decor is nice but I find that none of the pastries are appealing to me. They tend to stick with the sweet varieties and I like some non sweet pastry varieties more. Their iced coffee tends to be too sweet too so ask for it without sweetener and mix it in yourself.
Also, they run out of pastries fairly early so even if you have a favorite, you're not guaranteed that there's any left.
It's not a bad place, but there are definitely better that I would choose to go to. -

Their selection of pastries is varied and interesting, ranging from ones topped with custard and assorted fruits to others with sausage and bacon. Their sandwiches are freshly prepared when you go early in the day, and although a bit pricy, are worth the expense. The cakes are pleasing to look at and taste even better, the sweet potato cake and green tea cake are personal favorites.

Clean, fresh, quick, and lots of bread selection. This is my favourite bakery in the northern NJ area. (I don't feel the same about their other store in Fort Lee.) I haven't tried their cakes so I can't say anything about that. One thing I like about this place is how they alter their pastries according to the season. During summer time they will have items that are studded with fruits. And for fall/winter time, they use ingredients like chestnut, pumpkin, and sweet potatoes. They have seating section so that you can eat after your purchase.
Chicken and jalapeno pastry, potatoe croquettes, and their milk breads... So fresh! So awesome! So delicious! -

Even though I have tried their pastries on occasion for the past few years I wasn't a big fan until I recently tried one of their chocolate croissants. Hands down the best croissants I have ever had. Generally I'm not much of a food person nor am I the type of person to rave or write about any particular place, but these croissants are incredible.
These croissants are extraordinarily light, flaky, and crisp. Surprisingly the chocolate is not sweet but subdued, much more of a mature European flavor of chocolate.
I mean these things were so good I had to bring a friend. Suffice to say my friend, who has lived in the city for years and who travels to Europe on a regular basis, believes these to be the best chocolate croissants he has ever had.
So if you ever get a chance and like chocolate croissants, give this place a try. -

I haven't tried too many things here, but I have to say their cakes are the best! I've had a few over the past years for birthdays and what not & they have always been out of this world!

One of my favorite Saturday morning rituals is getting breakfast with the family here. Step inside the store and the wonderful aroma of fresh bread will greet you. You can see them either preparing or bringing out fresh trays of bread from the baking area. The seating area gets crowded easily but is comfy and allows you to check out what other people are getting.
As you enter there is a hot glass container on your right. This holds the croquettes. They are a Japanese staple and well worth a try. I like the vegetable and curry variety. It's like a little hot pocket with a fried outside...but the dough reminds me of zeppole dough somehow. It's not heavy and just the perfect mix of flavors and texture.
They also have various types of red bean bread. Koreans love red bean paste--it's sweet and comes in a donut form or in a soft white bread. My absolute favorite are the chocolate twists: Feuillette Chocolate. Kind of like palmiere's but not as flaky--it has just the right amount of chocolate scattered on top and inside. These tend to sell out by the afternoon.
The ham and cheese bread or sausage and onion bread are a nice snack--a little more hearty than the other offerings. The iced coffee is very good as well. It is already mixed up so you don't have to add cream or sugar. Once it was a little too sweet but usually they get the combo right.
Their cakes are light as air and a little on the pricey side. Asians don't like their cakes too sweet--they love lots of fruit in there, too. Another item I've discovered are the sandwiches! The chicken salad sandwich is so delicious. It is wrapped in a delicious flaky wrap that's sort of like a croissant but not as heavy. Besides the chicken salad there are bits of cucumber and cranberries that lend a nice crispness and sweetness. The other sandwiches look very fresh and are reasonable cost. Beware, though, they do sell out early--around 11am--so get there early! -

paris baguette never failed me in korea and it still has the variety and freshness even in jersey. i bought a blueberry cake for my mom here and it was quite possibly the best birthday cake we've ever had. super delicious and moist. korean cakes have a nice light cream, nothing heavy or too sweet. they have good pre-made sandwiches and all their breads are always fresh and soft.
a bit pricier than most korean bakeries but great stuff -

i LOVE this place. try anything and you will simply be hooked. my favorite would have to be the soft, yet flaky pastry with the rice cake and sweet red bean interior; absolutely outstanding. the pastries are amazing.

All of you have to try the cake. Once you try it you would not buy cake in other bakery. Their cakes has less sugar light and soft. You want to visit the store every week. The cake is always in my mind. Here go our diet!

I came here during night time so a lot of the bread were already sold, but the ones I bought that were left (mostly pastries) were still very very good. I've tried several different types of Korean bakery in the US and this place is one of the best I have tasted so far. The place itself is clean and nice. A bit pricey but tasty.

They make the best flaky pastries. Once you have these delicious asian pastries, you can't never go back to your typical town bakeries.
