Review from Ella M.
Vancouver, BC
I bought a swim suit from Paradise over a decade ago, before I left for a year in the tropics. I pretty much wore my swim suit every single day for a year solid... and it held up to the chlorine, sun and surfing lessons! The quality is definitely worth the price, especially since they're locally designed and made. Needless to say, it's the first of many suits I've bought there. (I especially like that they sell tops and bottoms individually, since I'm not perfectly proportioned.)
Fast forward to last fall when I was in town for the half marathon. I decided to treat myself to a new sweater from Paradise. I get compliments on it every single time I wear it. I love love love it. Definitely a staple piece that's stylish but not too trendy... and nobody else in Vancouver has one!
Paradise Boutique is a great place that I make a point of visiting every time I go to Victoria. I wish they had an on-line store so I could shop there all the time... hmmmm. Maybe I could order over the phone since they post photos on Facebook.... -
Review from Tracy P.
Vancouver, BC
Visited this store over the long weekend. A cute blue, Sailor suit-esque halter one-piece was displayed in the window and I had to go in. I'm constantly on the hunt for cute, one-piece swimsuits, especially if they're vintage-inspired.
Inside, the store is very small, crammed full of adorable, unique womens wear, all generally vintage looking. Kind of like Mintage here in Vancouver.
The lovely girl working that day, was more than attentive, without being pushy. She chose a few swimsuits for me to try, including the aforementioned suit in the window. I ended up going with a suit in same style, but a sweet, old-fashioned flower pattern. Imagine those delicate afternoon teacups, but in swimsuit form.
And the suit itself is wonderfully handmade. You can feel the quality of the fabric and it's well-lined, with removable cups.
Absolutely sold on this store. Great, unique finds. If I didn't have a terrible metal allergy, I would have definitely bought every single piece of jewelry they had. From big chunky rose quartz rings, to so many different kinds of skeleton key necklaces..,.it's just all so beautiful! -

I can't say enough good things about Paradise Boutique. They have the best selection of one of a kind bathing suits in all of Victoria, not to mention the most beautiful dresses. They also carry unique clothing, jewelry and accessories from local designers. The girls are always so friendly and helpful and they always play good music! I get tons of compliments anytime I wear a dress from Paradise. It is by far my favorite clothing store!

History
Established in 2004
Originally opened by designer Annie as an outlet to sell her Canadian made swimsuits. Her daughters, Dani & Rosebud ran the shop from its inception and developed it into a fashion boutique with a strong base of independent designers. The daughters bought the boutique in 2007 and the little shop continues to grow and flourish due to its loyal and enthusiastic customers.

Rosebud & Dani are the sisters of Paradise! As a designer, their mother raised them to appreciate colours and textures and to be passionate about clothing. They both love what they do, and you can see that when you visit Paradise - it is colourful, fun and inviting :)
