Sunday 1:00pm, LUNCH time right?? At least thats what I thought when I wanted to try a rare Filipino restaurant in the Woodbridge area. I didn't even know there was any Filipino community in these parts of the woods. I guess I'm extremely ignorant but at least I'm making attempts to discover.
Go in the door looking at a COMPLETE take-out concept with bar seating along the windows for eat-in diners. I went HUNGRY but when I got there I looked at the menu and fortunately I had a prior Filipino food experience or else I wouldn't have a clue what to order from the menu board.
The menu board didn't have pricing on it either but it didn't stop a couple LADIES ahead of us ordering their large order take-out. My turn to order of course we had to go for the SPECIAL PANCIT MALABON but I was too late and what was on offer was in fact the leftovers behind the display on the warming trays.
We got whatever was available but it was a good deal as we got 2 dishes(2 item + Steam Rice) and a canned pop for $13.00 where I had some sort of Chicken Soup and Pork w/Shrimp Paste while the other dish was Vegetables and some Pork item.
It's an A-OK meal and next time I will try to REMEMBER that Pancit is a breakfast item and I will come as early as I can.Listed in: EatVaughan(Lunch Edition), Fill up in oh
