When friends of ours got married, they called Marta Pan to do the catering. And are we glad they did - the food at the wedding was spectacular, from the trays of passed appetizers to the served buffet of above-and-beyond chicken and salmon and vegetables. I don't remember what the caterer called them exactly, but the appetizer consisting on a small cup filled with a light-as-air mushroom mousse was so yummy I had about five of them.
This cafe/caterer has a small storefront off Main, just sandwiched between Our Town Cafe and the Jem Gallery. I haven't been in the cafe, I admit, but everytime I pass by, I remember that wild mushroom mousse (perhaps it also included truffles?) According to their website, they also sell fresh meal items to go, so the next time I'm stuck for inspiration for dinner, I'll have to stop in.Listed in: Pleasantville
