Review from Arelene V.
We are from San Diego, California and stopped into Painter's Hall while visiting family in Canada. This is an exceptional restaurant by any world standard.
It's been a couple of weeks since we were there but some of the dishes that stood out were the mushroom ravioli appetizer in a brown butter sauce, The "surf and turf" made with scallop and pork belly and the braised short ribs... simply ridiculously good.
They have an exceptional wine list of very unique bottles you won't find in most smaller town restaurants.
Service was very attentive and friendly. Not stuffy at all.
Apparently they've just expanded although it's still a small, intimate place.
Highly recommended! -

About average food, good service, an a nice atmosphere. Indoor only seating made me regret not eating at a place on the water, especially since the food was just OK.

Chef Matt Schram is amazing, and I've yet to hear anything but rave reviews from all my friends. Reservations are a must!
