Yelp led me to Registered Massage Therapist, Sonya Scheer http://www.yelp.ca/biz... who has very recently opened her own clinic downtown. For Sonya's regulars, this means she's in one location, and it's her name that's framed on the wall of her treatment room.
If you've ever wondered what's behind the doors in the hundreds of office buildings downtown, now is your chance to find out. Stepping out of the elevator into the bland, florescent lit hallway, I had flashbacks of the 3 months I worked in a building much like this. Pantsuits, blazers... I shudder.
But, when you open the bland door to Pain Pro, another world emerges. One with soft lightening and soothing green hued walls. There's funky orange chairs in the waiting room. Music is playing. It's warm. It's inviting. You can also book online which is convenient.
I've been seeing Sonya for a few months now. She is a wealth of knowledge and know how. She really listens to what you're reporting verbally and to what your body is doing physically. How did she know how to clear my congestion -- caused by tightness in my neck; or that I was typing with my elbows lower than wrists causing tightness through my back? She's amazingly intuitive.
She's given me plenty of stretches and exercises to do at home and on planes. Plus, we've built up an awesome rapport, which has made me feel more like I'm visiting a friend than my RMT. I wish my neck and back pains would just be gone already, but they've improved more than I could have hoped for in Sonya's hands!Listed in: Doctors, Dentists, Drycleaners…

Established in 2003
Our company started out as Coal Harbour Massage Therapy which still remains the home of painPRO Therapeutics and is located at Pender/ Thurlow.
We opened our second location at Dunsmuir/ Hornby in December 2011.
Our beginnings were humble with only one Registered Massage Therapist, Michael Desrochers, in 2003 and since then we have grown to house over 19 of Vancouvers top Massage Therapists.
