The restaurant was smaller than I expected, and darned hard to find, even when you know where it is because it is tucked into the back side of a poorly marked plaza.

But, as they say, "It's worth the drive to Acton." NB the restaurant is in Vaughan :)

The ambiance was warm and inviting, fairly quiet on noise level even on weekend evenings so you can actually talk to the person you are with over dinner.

We had the Italian beef carpaccio starter which was topped with baby greens and cheese shavings. Delicious! The pheasant truffle oil risotto was likewise very good, as were the other pastas ordered. There wasn't a bad dish among them.

The highlight was the tiramisu. Best I have had in a decade, and I am dedicated to eating tiramisu whenever it crosses my path. It was made of real marscapone cheese, real cream, what looked like home made lady fingers, and just enough alcohol flavoring.

The current location is a place holder for when the site is turned into a high rise condo, at which point Paganelli's will have a 3000 sq ft space. I'm looking forward to it.

    Serious, amazing TIRAMISU!

Very good food, fresh pasta is under-rated.  Ordered the:

Tagliatelle alla Bolognese con Piselli Freschi
    Pappardelle ai Funghi Misti

    Both tasted very good.

Woodbridge has a risotteria! Chef Paganelli - owner of Romagna Mia has expanded to north of the city.

It is a simple yet inviting place. The candle light sets a welcoming mood. The Piadina bread they make fresh daily is wonderful. I had the daily soup - which was a chickpea chestnut puree and it was delicious. It was followed by the grilled shrimp and calamari drizzled with a balsamic reduction; served with grilled vegetables. The risottos are wonderful. It would be hard to pick a favourite. This place is a treat and gem that should be tried by all.
