I've been in the Boston area lately for work and I've been eating at a lot of different restaurants. I ordered the Originale for $6 from the Paesan's website along with some Bruschetta and I was pleasantly surprised.
The best part of the whole thing was to be able to order from their website with my credit card at work and have it delivered when I went back to my apartment.Comment from robert p. of Paesan's Brick Oven Pizzeria 2/21/2012

An open kitchen with wood-burning oven welcomes you as you walk in, with delectable desserts on display.
Generous pours of top-shelf liquors are served at "well" prices at the long marble bar. Booths in the back offer privacy and/or room for the whole family.
The rustic bread is fabulous, some of the best I've ever had anywhere.
Salads are crisp romaine, entree-sized, and are reasonably priced at under $7, even with grilled chicken or a generous portion of fresh mozzarella. If you like fresh basil, try the fresh pesto dressing, it is amazing.
I have tried nearly all of the specialty pizzas and they are delicious. Quality ingredients are generously portioned, with the kind of rustic crust only a wood-burning oven can produce. Try one of the "white" pizzas, they are served without the familiar tomato sauce, and are a real taste treat.
Friendly attentive staff completes the experience. -

Delivery or dine there - the food is always GREAT!
I love the 4 cheese pizza, the chicken marsala and the steak tips, which is why I order ALL three every time! -

Buffalo Chicken Pizza.... Delicious! Great service!
Great place to sit at the bar and watch a game as well. -

Hidden gem! I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because sometimes the delivery food is better than "eating there" food. But, with that being said the food is delicious. I usually get the chx, broc and ziti or the chx francese and have enough leftover for the next day! I have also gotten the chx parm and that is a pretty good portion as well! There is a woman who answers the phone there that I could do without, but other than that the staff has always seemed friendly! Definitely my favorite place!!

I got a menu from this place hanging on my doorknob a few months ago and just tried them tonight for the first time. Checked out their website, placed the order and got my food in about 20 minutes-not bad.
I ordered bruschetta as an appetizer and Chicken Rosa with fettucini. I open the small pizza box expecting a refreshing "loaf of fresh baked country bread with diced tomato, roasted peppers and mozzarella cheese" as their menu states the description for the bruschetta and got some French bread, with soggy red & green peppers on top of a thick slice of tomato with MELTED mozzie. The bruschetta was cooked. Who does that? The pasta dish had no taste whatsover. I couldn't finish it no matter how much I tried to season it. I will never order from this place again. -

*This review is based solely on their pizza* 5 stars for sure. I can't give this pizza an injustice by giving the whole joint a low star rating, cause really that's what it deserves. Consistent bad service, no atmosphere, stale bread, and all the other food here is just not very good. I just come here to get pizza and everything else is just fine with me. The pizza is very flavorful and cheesy and so pleasantly unique from most other pizza i've tried. It's just good pizza... so go in and try it!
Oh my- I've said pizza a lot in this review but that's what it's all about... the PIZZA! I love pizza! -

We did take out here this past weekend and had a really yummy meal. We ordered a pizza with sausage and ricotta with red sauce and Mozz which was soooooo delicious. We also had fried calamari which is tricky when ordered for take out, but the the calamari stayed crispy and wasn't chewy at all. It also came with a really yummy spicy red sauce for dipping. it was very good! My husband also wanted buffalo tenders witch had enough heat to bring a little water to the eye. Yum! Still on our top restaurants in Winthrop for take out. :)

Paesans is great! Their pizza is awesome, its not like the typical pizza you get from any piza joint. The crust is different, its more brick oven so its more rustic. Their sauce is really good and another place that serves yummy arancini! Ive only gotten take out and i got gnocchi one itme that could easily serve 2-3 people. The pizzas though...they are great.

On June 11,2011 I was at my cousin's birthday party and my dining experience at Paesan's was terrible first thing I was expecting brick oven pizza but instead I was disappointed to find out it was a normal pizza not a brick oven pizza that is false advertisement and the second thing the pizza itself the sauce was to sweet and the cheese was greasy and it look like it was manufacture in a factory and the thrid thing when me and my father left Paesan's that night we both got very sick because the people cooking our food wasn't wearing any hair nets so in closing if I have to rate Paesan's it has the lowest rating of all number one

Well I don't know why so many think this place is so good. I tried it based on those reviews and was very very disappointed. I picked up my daughter at logan and decided to grab a bite here on the trip home. I ordered the Veal parm, my wife & daughter split a pizza and my son ordered the ribs. The veal was so thin and tough and plastered with a tastesles red sauce, the pizza crust could not be cut with a knife and it was very soggy. My son gave the ribs an ok, but that is not a great mark. The atmosphere was dank, the furniture was in disrepair and the business next store was causing a mild earth quake. Sorry but unfortunately one bad experience will keep me from returning, ever!

This place is just your average run of the mill pizza place that touts the best food in the area for this small ocean side town. What it really amounts to is a dark gloomy bad interior and terrible service with greasy pizza and awful pasta. Think about take out here if its your last resort but think about also skipping the place and heading over to Crest Ave Pizza where the food is better and the staff is nicer!

Love this place. My all time face dinner is a Caesar salad and shrimp scampi pizza - omg the flavors are to die for --- the barbeque steak tips are so delicious and shrimp scampi with fettucine unsurpassed. So many entrees, so little time. Stop by for dinner - your tastebuds will love you for it.

This is one of the best pizza places I've ever ordered from. I've always gotten food to go though, so bear with me.
The ingredients are always fresh and tasty, and Paesans doesn't skimp. The salads are stupendous, and you certainly get your money's worth. The desserts are decadent, and the tiramisu is simply amazing. I recommend the New Yorker pizza (we get it with spinach instead of sun dried tomatos), the garlic bread with cheese, and the greek salad.
The pizza kitchen is in the front of the restaurant looking out onto the parking lot, so you can see the brick oven and the chefs cooking while you wait for your food. A nice touch.
The one thing I don't like about Paesans is that they only offer only one size of pizza. But hey, it's so good that I'm still rating it 5 stars! And for the quality of ingredients and the generous helpings, the food is more than worth the price. -

I keep trying Paesans pizza because it does taste good, but, 4 pizzas later have yet to get a crisp one. In fairness the first 3 were delivery and had veggies on top, I went into the restaurant this time, ordered a pizza with no veggies and specifically asked for it to be crisp (they have a brick oven after all) when it arrived it was a soggy greasy mess. I told the server who was nice and half heartedly asked if we would like something else ( no we would like a crispy pizza, actually) I get the impression that unless you are really nasty, or send your food back that the cooks and owner may never hear this negative feedback. I think the place has potential, a nice neighborhood place for sure -I would like to go back- but at almost $14.00 they should be able to make a crisp pizza- and judging from the size of the crowd during dinner hour, I don't think I am alone..

So good! Everyone who was in my party had a great meal- the bread is amazing, only problem I had was not filling up on it! The waitress was really sweet, I dont remember her name though. I had the buffalo chicken flat bread and it was HUGE! Not that I minded because it was great- the buffalo sauce was spicey but not too intense and it had a great meat to cheese to sauce ratio. BOMBBBB! Plus the boyfriend loved me for bringing him leftovers for a late night snack :) Cant wait to go back!

You probably would never go here unless someone told you about it. It's tucked into a strip mall (Michael's Mall) in the heart of Winthrop. So unless you're a local, it's probably not the kind of place you'd just try. However, you are missing out if you've never been here. Not only is this place one of Winthrop's only bars, but they serve up plenty of Italian specialties, barbecue ribs and tips, and the best Buffalo chicken pizza ever. I can't really speak for the rest of the food because I can't bring myself to ever order anything other than the buffalo chicken pizza. It's made without tomato sauce, so the blue cheese dressing makes the sauce. I am always tempted to try buffalo chicken pizza at other places, but always end up disappointed after comparing it to Paesan's. A co-worker and I end up here at least once a week after work for a couple Miller Lite's and a pizza. It's also great with a group as they have several long tables and flat-panel TV's at every booth.

Pizza is good, really good...but the staff is almost always rude and extremely inattentive. Delivery and take out is your best bet and be sure to get a loaf of their bread, it's to die for.
